Werner Christoph (born 13 January 1943) was an East German sailor, born in Berlin, who competed in the 1968 Summer Olympics and in the 1972 Summer Olympics. [1]

At the World Cup in Tasmania, Australia in 1990, he won the championship in the class of men's 8+, and the year before he won a bronze medal in the class 4+. 1999 Korte earned his PhD in Geology from the Ruhr-University Bochum and is currently an Associate Professor in Geology at Copenhagen University. His research is focused on palaeoclimatology and geochemistry.

Werner Schraut is a German weightlifter. He competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics and the 1976 Summer Olympics.
