William Stedman (born 5 December 1999) is a New Zealand para-athlete, competing in sprints, middle-distance running and long jump events.
Stedman attended Middleton Grange School in Christchurch, New Zealand. [1] He studies engineering at the University of Canterbury. [2]
He represented New Zealand at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he won bronze medals in the men's 400 metres T36 and 800 metres T36. [3] [4]
In the 800 metres event of the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London he won the silver medal with a time of 2:11.86 after he achieved a seasonal and personal best of 2:11.68 that year.
In 2020 Stedman represented New Zealand at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan. He won the silver medal in the long jump T36 and the bronze medal in the 400 metres T36. [5]
He married Annika Stedman on 29 January 2022.

Stedman was named 2015 Para Athlete of the Year by Sport Canterbury and in 2016 he was named Junior Sportsperson of the Year by ParaFed Canterbury. In 2017 he was named Junior Athlete of the Year at the Canterbury Athletics Awards and also shared the Middle Distance Athlete of the Year award with Angie Petty. In 2020 he was named Para Athlete of the Year at the Canterbury Athletics Awards. [7]
Evan George O'Hanlon, is an Australian Paralympic athlete, who competes mainly in category T38 sprint events. He has won five gold medals at two Paralympic Games – 2008 Beijing and 2012 London. He also represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, winning a silver medal and a bronze medal respectively. In winning the bronze medal in the Men's 100m T38 at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships in Dubai, O'Hanlon became Australia's most successful male athlete with a disability. His bronze medal took him to 12 medals in five world championships – one more than four-time Paralympian Neil Fuller.

His gold in the Men's T46 marathon at the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships was held as part of the London Marathon, set a new world record.

Karé Adenegan is a British wheelchair athlete specialising in sprint distances in the T34 classification. She was classified as a disability athlete in 2013.
James Michael Apsley Turner, is an Australian Paralympic athlete and soccer player with cerebral palsy. He has represented Australia as part of the Australia Paralympic soccer team, the ParaRoos, and was its player of the year in 2013. At the 2016 Rio Paralympics, he won the Men's 800m T36 in a world record time of 2:02.39. He won a gold and silver medal at the 2020 Toyko Paralympics. At the 2024 Paris Paralympics, he won two gold medals including a world record in the 400m T36.
Nicaragua sent a delegation to compete at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7–18 September 2016. This was the Central American country's third appearance at the Summer Paralympic Games, having made its debut twelve years earlier at the 2004 Summer Paralympics. They were represented by three athletes, sprinter Jennifer Osejo, middle-distance runner and sprinter Gabriel Cuadra Holmann and powerlifter Fernando Acevedo, who all qualified for the games by achieving the minimum qualifying standard in international competition. Neither Holmann or Osejo claimed a medal in their respective events and Acevado finished fifth in the men's −72kg powerlifting class.

Nathan Maguire is a British wheelchair racer. He won multiple medals at both the 2018 and 2021 World Para Athletics European Championships, and also won the 400 metres mixed class race at multiple British Athletics Championships. Maguire competed in the 4 × 400 metres relay T53/T54 at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, and competed in the 400 metres T54, 800 metres T54 and mixed 4 × 100 metres relay events at the delayed 2020 Summer Paralympics. He was part of the British team that won a silver medal in the 2020 Paralympic mixed 4 × 100 metres relay. He also competed for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and won the 1500 metres T54 event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Jardênia Félix Barbosa da Silva, commonly known as Jardênia Félix, is a Brazilian para-athlete who competes in T20 events. She has represented Brazil in several national and international events, such as the Summer Paralympics, the World Para Athletics Championships, and the World Para Athletics Grand Prix, among others. Félix is part of the LGBTQ+ community.
