The London boroughs are the 32 local authority districts that make up the Greater London county; each is governed by a London borough council. The London boroughs were all created at the same time as Greater London on 1 April 1965 by the London Government Act 1963 and are a type of local government district. Twelve were designated as Inner London boroughs and twenty as Outer London boroughs.
The Metropolitan Borough of Wirral is a metropolitan borough of Merseyside, in North West England. It has a population of 321,238, and encompasses 60 square miles (160 km2) of the northern part of the Wirral Peninsula. Major settlements include Birkenhead, Wallasey, Bebington, Heswall, Hoylake and West Kirby. The city of Liverpool over the Mersey, faces the northeastern side of Wirral. Bordering is the River Mersey to the east, the Irish Sea to the north and the River Dee to the west; the borough of Cheshire West and Chester occupies the remainder of the Wirral Peninsula and borders the borough of Wirral to the south. The borough of Wirral has greater proportions of rural areas than the Liverpool part of Merseyside.
Historic Denbighshire is one of thirteen traditional counties in Wales, a vice-county and a former administrative county, which covers an area in north east Wales. It is a maritime county, bounded to the north by the Irish Sea, to the east by Flintshire, Cheshire and Shropshire, to the south by Montgomeryshire and Merionethshire, and to the west by Caernarfonshire.
North Shropshire was a local government district in Shropshire, England. The district council was based at Edinburgh House, in Wem. Other settlements included the towns of Ellesmere, Market Drayton, Wem and Whitchurch, as well as the large villages of Shawbury and Baschurch. The district bordered onto Wales, Cheshire and Staffordshire as well as the Shropshire districts of Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Atcham and the unitary Telford and Wrekin.

Rhosddu is a local government community, the lowest tier of local government, part of Wrexham County Borough in Wales. It is in the north-western suburbs of the town of Wrexham. The population of the community at the 2011 Census was 6,840.
Caia Park is a local government community, the lowest tier of local government, part of Wrexham County Borough in Wales. It was created in 1985 after a boundary commission review along with four other community areas within the town. At the 2001 census, the community had a population of 11,882 in 5,019 households, increasing to 12,602 in 2011.
Rhostyllen is a village in Wrexham county borough in Wales, south-west of the town of Wrexham. At the time of the 2001 census, area Wrexham 014A, which includes Rhostyllen itself, had a population of 1,383 in 599 households. Its name may be derived from the Welsh words rhos and estyll.
Llangollen Rural is a local government community in Wrexham County Borough, Wales. It contains the villages of Froncysyllte, Garth, and Trevor, and had a population of 1,999 at the 2001 census, increasing to 2,059 at the 2011 Census. The Pontcysyllte aqueduct is a World Heritage Site.

The 2012 Ipswich Council election took place on 3 May 2012 to elect members of Ipswich Council in England. This was on the same day as other United Kingdom local elections, 2012. Ipswich Borough Council has 48 councillors who are elected for a term of four years. The councillors are elected in 'thirds' with one councillor in each of the 16 wards retiring each year for three out of four years. Every fourth year there is a break from the borough council elections and elections for county councillors are held instead. Ipswich Borough Council is also responsible for the administration of UK Parliamentary general elections, European Parliamentary elections and national and local referendums.

This was the same day as the other 2002 local elections in the United Kingdom. Due to boundary changes, every seat was up for election and the council stayed under no overall control.
Aled Roberts is a Welsh politician from Rhosllannerchrugog, Wrexham. He is a former elected member of the National Assembly for Wales who, until the 2016 election, represented the region of North Wales as a member of the Welsh Liberal Democrats party. Before his election to the Assembly, he was a Councillor and the leader of Wrexham County Borough Council.
