Xylomoia chagnoni, reed canary grass borer moth, reed canary grass borer, or Chang borer moth[ sic ], is a species of cutworm or dart moth in the family Noctuidae. It was first described by William Barnes and James Halliday McDunnough in 1917. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] It is found in the Northeastern United States and southeastern Canada [4] west to Wyoming [4] [5] and Manitoba. [5] It is named after Gustave Chagnon, the collector. [4]

The wingspan is about 29–30 mm (1.1–1.2 in). [4]
