Yermishinsky District (Russian : Ермиши́нский райо́н) is an administrative [1] and municipal [5] district (raion), one of the twenty-five in Ryazan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,342 square kilometers (518 sq mi).[ citation needed ] Its administrative center is the urban locality (a work settlement) of Yermish. [2] Population: 8,879 (2010 Census); [3] 10,926(2002 Census); [7] 13,288(1989 Soviet census). [8] The population of Yermish accounts for 48.9% of the district's total population. [3]
