Željko Mitrović (born on 31 May 1967) is a Serbian media magnate, entrepreneur, investor, CEO, and founder of the Pink Media Group.
In 1988, Mitrović founded one of Serbia's first music recording studios. He opened a radio station in 1993, followed by a TV Pink station in 1994. [1] Later on, Mitrović founded the music publishing house CITY Records, which has more than 500 performers under its label.[ citation needed ] After launching the satellite program, Mitrović launched TV Pink Montenegro in 2002 and Pink BiH, in Bosnia and Herzegovina a year later.
Mitrović included a subsidiary in the Pink International Company: the PFI – Pink Films International – a film production complex catering to blockbusters and TV shows producers. In May 2008, Los Angeles Times conducted an interview with Mitrović and wrote about his new project, a 42,000 square metres (452,000 sq ft) film studio complex. [2]
In 2004, Mitrović founded a business jet airline Air Pink, one of seven companies under Pink Media Group. They extended its eleven-airplane fleet with three new Cessna XLS+ aircraft. It specializes in VIP and corporate aviation services.[ citation needed ]
Mitrović created a new, digital company of the Pink Media Group. The Pink Digital Company is a regional provider of digital communications that bridges the difference and gap between cutting-edge digital creative ideas, products and technologies. Pink Digital Media System has created applications, such as Pink.rs, KlikTV. [ citation needed ]
In 2015, Mitrović received the "Golden Chain" award from the Cultural and Educational Community of Belgrade for lasting contribution to culture. In 2014, the Karić foundation awarded Mitrović for outstanding achievements in the sphere of the media, television and film production. In 2012, Mitrović was awarded by The Man magazine, in the category "self-made man". In 2006, Mitrović received the "Manager of the Year" award from the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce (BCC) for the achievement in the growth and development of the Pink Media Group, as one of the strongest and most influential media/entertainment businesses in Southeast Europe. RTV B92, or simply B92, is a Serbian news station and broadcaster with national coverage headquartered in Belgrade.
Dragana Todorović, better known under the stage name Bebi Dol, is a Serbian and Yugoslav singer and songwriter. Born in Belgrade, she made her solo debut in 1981 with the single "Mustafa". Bebi Dol rose to further prominence and nationwide popularity with her debut album Ruže i krv. She represented SFR Yugoslavia at the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest with "Brazil". Belgrade Waterfront, known in Serbian as Belgrade on Water, is an urban renewal development project headed by the Government of Serbia aimed at improving Belgrade's cityscape and economy by revitalizing the Sava amphitheater, a neglected stretch of land on the right bank of the Sava river, between the Belgrade Fair and Branko's bridge. It was started in 2014 with the reconstruction of the Belgrade Cooperative building, which was finished in June of the same year. It is the second largest mixed use complex under construction in Europe, just after Minsk Mir, worth $3.5 billion. Belgrade Waterfront complex will include 10,000 residential units, bilingual elementary school and kindergartens, luxury hotels including St. Regis, the largest shopping mall in southeast Europe Galerija, and public buildings. In total, about 1.8 million square meters will be built.
Pink Music Festival 2014 was the first edition of the Pink Music Festival contest organised by Serbian broadcaster RTV Pink and featuring artists from City Records. It was held in the RTV Pink studio in Šimanovci on the outskirts of Belgrade on 28 and 29 April 2014 and broadcast live on RTV Pink. All songs were mimed, which was much-criticised by the Serbian press.
