Leslie Allison Godfree was a British male tennis player who was especially successful in doubles and mixed doubles.

The 1926 Wimbledon Championships, also known as the Jubilee Championships, took place on the outdoor grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom. The tournament ran from 21 June until 3 July. It was the 46th staging of the Wimbledon Championships, and the third Grand Slam tennis event of 1926.

John Lloyd and Wendy Turnbull successfully defended their title, defeating Steve Denton and Kathy Jordan in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 1984 Wimbledon Championships.

Kitty Godfree defeated Lilí de Álvarez 6–2, 4–6, 6–3 to win the Ladies' Singles at the 1926 Wimbledon Championships.

First-seeded Helen Wills defeated Lilí de Álvarez 6–2, 6–4 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1927 Wimbledon Championships.

Mahesh Bhupathi and Elena Likhovtseva were the defending champions but decided not to play together. Bhupathi played with Paola Suárez and lost in third round to Nenad Zimonjić and Iroda Tulyaganova, while Likhovtseva competed with Bob Bryan and lost in second round to Andy Ram and Anastasia Rodionova.

Henri Kontinen and Heather Watson defeated Robert Farah and Anna-Lena Grönefeld in the final, 7–6^(7–5), 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2016 Wimbledon Championships. Kontinen became the first Finn to win a major title, while Watson became the first British woman to win the title since Jo Durie in 1987.

Hope Crisp and Agnes Tuckey were the defending champions, but they lost in the semifinals to eventual champions James Cecil Parke and Ethel Larcombe.

James Anderson and Randolph Lycett were the defending champions, but Anderson did not participate. Lycett partnered with Leslie Godfree and defeated Eduardo Flaquer and Manuel de Gomar in the final, 6–3, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3 to win the gentlemen's doubles tennis title at the 1923 Wimbledon Championships.

Jean Borotra and René Lacoste were the defending champions, but decided not to play together. Lacoste partnered with Paul Féret but withdrew before the start of the competition. Borotra played with Leonce Aslangul, but lost to Jacques Brugnon and Henri Cochet in the quarterfinals.

Suzanne Lenglen and Elizabeth Ryan were the defending champions, but decided not to play together. Lenglen partnered with Julie Vlasto, but lost in the second round to Ryan and her partner Mary Browne.

Mary Browne and Elizabeth Ryan were the defending champions, but Browne did not participate. Ryan partnered with Helen Wills, and defeated Bobbie Heine and Irene Peacock in the final, 6–3, 6–2 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 1927 Wimbledon Championships.

Frank Hunter and Elizabeth Ryan defeated the defending champions Leslie Godfree and Kitty Godfree in the final, 8–6, 6–0 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 1927 Wimbledon Championships.

Phoebe Holcroft Watson and Peggy Michell were the defending champions, but Michell did not participate. Watson partnered with Kitty Godfree but withdrew before the first round.

Doris Metaxa and Josane Sigart were the defending champions, but Metaxa did not compete. Sigart partnered with Peggy Scriven, but lost in the third round to Kitty Godfree and Peggy Michell.

Owen Davidson and Billie Jean King were the defending champions, but Davidson did not compete. King partnered with Clark Graebner but lost in the semifinals to Ilie Năstase and Rosie Casals.

Owen Davidson and Billie Jean King successfully defended their title, defeating Mark Farrell and Lesley Charles in the final, 6–3, 9–7 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 1974 Wimbledon Championships.
