Jean Borotra and Suzanne Lenglen were the defending champions, but withdrew before their second round match against Howard Kinsey and Mary Browne.
Leslie Godfree and Kitty Godfree defeated Kinsey and Browne in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 1926 Wimbledon Championships. [1] [2] They remain the only married couple to ever win the mixed doubles title at Wimbledon. [3]

Kathleen "Kitty" McKane Godfree was a British tennis and badminton player and the second most decorated female British Olympian, joint with Katherine Grainger
Leslie Allison Godfree was a British male tennis player who was especially successful in doubles and mixed doubles.
The 1926 Wimbledon Championships, also known as the Jubilee Championships, took place on the outdoor grass courts at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, United Kingdom. The tournament ran from 21 June until 3 July. It was the 46th staging of the Wimbledon Championships, and the third Grand Slam tennis event of 1926.
John Lloyd and Wendy Turnbull successfully defended their title, defeating Steve Denton and Kathy Jordan in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 1984 Wimbledon Championships.
Kitty Godfree defeated Lilí de Álvarez 6–2, 4–6, 6–3 to win the Ladies' Singles at the 1926 Wimbledon Championships.
First-seeded Helen Wills defeated Lilí de Álvarez 6–2, 6–4 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 1927 Wimbledon Championships.
