Aurora Fútbol Club is a Guatemalan professional football club. They are based in Guatemala City and play their home matches in the Estadio Cementos Progreso. Once one of the most powerful teams in the country and a traditional rival of fellow local teams Municipal and Comunicaciones, the team has now been relegated to a lower division, although they remain the third-most successful team in Guatemalan football. Their uniform is black and yellow vertical striped shirt and black shorts.
Ever Hugo Almeida Almada is a Paraguayan football manager and former player who played as a goalkeeper. He is the current manager of Ecuadorian club El Nacional.

The 1979–80 Honduran Liga Nacional season was the 14th edition of the Honduran Liga Nacional. The format of the tournament remained the same as the previous season. C.D. Marathón won the title after defeating Universidad in the finals. Both teams qualified to the 1980 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. Additionally, Marathón, Universidad, C.D. Broncos and C.D. Victoria obtained berths to the 1980 Copa Fraternidad.

Club Deportivo Achuapa, is a Guatemalan football club based in El Progreso, Jutiapa Department. They compete in the Liga Nacional, the top tier of Guatemalan football. They now play their home games in the Estadio Winston Pineda after moving there from the Estadio Municipal Manuel Ariza.
Selvin Valentín Pennant Taylor is a Guatemalan former footballer and one of that country's most prolific goalscorers ever. He played for Deportes Aviación in the Chilean First Division for three years, and was a member of the Guatemala national team from 1969 to 1980, playing in three World Cup qualifying campaigns and at the 1976 Olympic Tournament.
Julio César Anderson Quiroga was a Guatemalan professional football striker who played the majority of his career for C.S.D. Municipal, in the Liga Mayor A, the top tier in the country. He was on the squad when it won the 1974 CONCACAF Champions' Cup. When he retired, he was the club's all-time leading goalscorer, and was the top scorer of the Liga Nacional three straight years. He was briefly in Mexico's top league, the Primera División.
Alberto "Cuqui" López Oliva is a Guatemalan football coach and former defender. He is one of three Guatemalan footballers to win the CONCACAF championship with both national team and club.
