The 1990 World Badminton Grand Prix was the eighth edition of the World Badminton Grand Prix finals. It was held in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, from December 12 to December 16, 1990.

With her mixed doubles victory at the 2017 Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold, she did one better and became the first player to win Grand Prix Gold titles in all three disciplines.

It began in 2007, when it was held in Suwon, then it moved to Yeosu in 2008 and Hwasun in 2009. In 2010, it was turned into a BWF Grand Prix event.

His best achievement is winning the mixed doubles title at the 2018 Singapore Open with Lai, where they beat the 2016 Olympic gold medalists Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir in the final in straight games.

Lee participated at the 2012 World University Championships in Gwangju, South Korea, won a gold medal in the mixed team and a bronze in the singles events. He was also part of the South Korean winning team at the 2014 Asian Games. In 2016, Lee represented his country competing at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
