The 1992 Japanese Touring Car Championship season was the 8th edition of the series. It began at TI Circuit Aida on 15 March and finished after eight events at Fuji Speedway on 8 November. The championship was won by Masahiro Hasemi, driving for Hasemi Motorsport. [1] [2]

Championship Standings

Points were awarded 20, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 to the top 10 finishers in each class, with no bonus points for pole positions or fastest laps. All scores counted towards the championship. In cases where teammates tied on points, the driver who completed the greater distance during the season was given the higher classification.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Masahiro Hasemi</span> Japanese racing driver (born 1945)

Masahiro Hasemi is a former racing driver and team owner from Japan. He started racing motocross when he was 15 years old. In 1964 he signed to drive for Nissan. After establishing himself in saloon car and GT races in Japan, he participated in his only Formula One race at the 1976 Japanese Grand Prix for Kojima on 24 October 1976. He qualified 10th after an error which cost him his chance of a pole position and finished 11th, seven laps behind the winner. Contrary to a widely propagated but mistaken result, however, he never set a fastest lap in a Formula One championship race.1 Along with compatriots Noritake Takahara and Kazuyoshi Hoshino, he was the first Japanese driver to start a Formula One Grand Prix.

George Fury is a retired Australian rally and racing car driver. The 1995 Japanese Touring Car Championship season was the 11th edition of the series. It began at Fuji Speedway on 12 March and finished after eight events, also at Fuji Speedway on 5 November. The championship was won by Steve Soper, driving for BMW Team Schnitzer. It was his only touring car title and it would be the only time a non-Japanese driver won the series.

The 1994 Japanese Touring Car Championship season was the 10th edition of the series and the first to be run under Class II regulations. It began at Autopolis on 24 April and finished after nine events at Fuji Speedway on 30 October. The championship was won by Masanori Sekiya, driving for Toyota Team TOM's.

The 1993 Japanese Touring Car Championship season was the 9th edition of the series and the last to be run under Group A regulations. It began at Mine Central Circuit on 14 March and finished after nine events at Fuji Speedway on 31 October. The championship was won by Masahiko Kageyama, driving for Team Impul.

The 1991 Japanese Touring Car Championship season was the 7th edition of the series. It began at Sportsland SUGO on 19 May and finished after six events at Fuji Speedway on 10 November. The championship was won by Masahiro Hasemi, driving for Hasemi Motorsport.

The 1990 Japanese Touring Car Championship season was the 6th edition of the series. It began at Nishi Nippon on 18 March and finished after six events at Fuji Speedway on 11 November. The championship was won by Kazuyoshi Hoshino, driving for Team Impul.

The 2011 Autobacs Super GT Series was the nineteenth season of the Japan Automobile Federation Super GT Championship including the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship (JGTC) era and the seventh season as the Super GT series. It also marked the twenty-ninth season of a JAF-sanctioned sports car racing championship dating back to the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. It is a series for Grand Touring race cars divided into two categories: GT500 and GT300. The season began on May 1 and ended on November 13, 2011 after 8 races and 1 non-championship race. The season was due to start on April 2, but the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami caused its postponement.

The 2003 All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship was the eleventh season of Japan Automobile Federation GT premiere racing. It was marked as well as the twenty-first season of a JAF-sanctioned sports car racing championship dating back to the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship. The GT500 class champions of 2003 were the #23 Xanavi NISMO Nissan Skyline GT-R team driven by Satoshi Motoyama and Michael Krumm and the GT300 class champions were the #3 Hasemi Motorsports Nissan Fairlady Z driven by Masataka Yanagida and Mitsuhiro Kinoshita, neither of which had won a single race during the course of the season.
