The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, LLC (NASCAR) is an American auto racing sanctioning and operating company that is best known for stock car racing. The privately owned company was founded by Bill France Sr. in 1948, and his son, Jim France, has been the CEO since August 2018. The company is headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida. Each year, NASCAR sanctions over 1,500 races at over 100 tracks in 48 US states as well as in Canada, Mexico, and Europe.
The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. The series is one of three national divisions of NASCAR, ranking as the third tier behind the second-tier NASCAR Xfinity Series and the top level NASCAR Cup Series. Camping World has been the title sponsor since 2009; it replaced Craftsman, which served in that role from 1996 through 2008.
Ronald Lee Hornaday Jr. is an American former professional stock car racing driver. He is the father of former NASCAR driver Ronnie Hornaday and son of the late Ron Hornaday Sr., a two-time Winston West Champion. Hornaday is a four-time champion in the Camping World Truck Series, his most recent coming in 2009. He was a long-time driver in NASCAR's Winston West Series and is a Featherlite Southwest Tour Champion. He was noticed by Dale Earnhardt while participating in the NASCAR Winter Heat on TNN.
Camping World Holdings, Inc. is an American corporation specializing in selling recreational vehicles (RVs), recreational vehicle parts, and recreational vehicle service. They also sell supplies for camping. The company has its headquarters in Lincolnshire, Illinois. In October 2016 it became a publicly traded company when it raised $251 million in an IPO. Camping World operates over 180 retail/service locations in 46 states, and also sells goods through mail order and online. It claims to be the world's largest supplier of RV parts and supplies.
Germain Racing was an American professional stock car racing team that last competed in the NASCAR Cup Series. It was owned by Bob Germain, whose family owns many car dealerships across the United States as Germain Motor Company. The team last fielded the No. 13 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE full-time for Ty Dillon. It previously fielded the No. 03, No. 9, No. 30, No. 62 and No. 77 Toyota Tundras in the Camping World Truck Series and the No. 7 and No. 15 Toyota Camry in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Previously, the team had been affiliated with Arnold Motorsports, a former Cup Series team, until the 2005 season as Germain-Arnold Racing.
David L. Gilliland is an American professional stock car racing driver and team owner. Since 2017, he has operated David Gilliland Racing, a team that races in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, and CARS Tour.
Peyton Sellers is an American professional stock car racing driver. He won the 2005 and 2021 national championship of NASCAR's Weekly Racing Series. He competed for several seasons in both the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Camping World Truck Series.
Jesus Hernandez is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competed in what is now the ARCA Menards Series East full-time for three years from 2007 to 2009, while also making one start in both the West and ARCA Series during the course of his career. Being a Hispanic American, Hernandez was also a member of the Drive for Diversity program.
The 2009 NASCAR Camping World East Series was the 23rd season of the Camping World East Series, a touring series sanctioned by NASCAR. Matt Kobyluck entered the season as the defending drivers' champion. Ryan Truex won the championship, 34 points in front of Eddie MacDonald.
The 2008 NASCAR Camping World West Series was the 55th season of Camping World West Series, a regional stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR. It began with the Toyota/NAPA Auto Care 150 at All-American Speedway on March 29, 2008, and concluded with the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 by Thunder Valley, again at All-American Speedway, on October 25, 2008. Eric Holmes won the championship, 48 points in front of Jason Bowles. This was Holmes' second championship after his first came in 2006. He would go on to win a third championship in 2010, ironically meaning that he won a title every other year in this span of five years.
Brad Keselowski Racing was an American professional stock car racing team that competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Started in 2007, it was owned and operated by NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series champion Brad Keselowski. The team most recently fielded the Nos. 19 and 29 Ford F-150s for Austin Cindric and Chase Briscoe. On August 17, 2017, BKR announced that they would suspend operations after the 2017 season.
Brian Ickler is an American professional stock car racing driver.
The 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series season was the thirtieth season of semi-professional stock car racing in the United States. The season included thirty-four races, beginning with the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway and ending with the Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. During the 2010 season, NASCAR announced a few notable calendar changes, including race additions at Iowa Speedway and Chicagoland Speedway, and the removal of Gateway International Raceway from the schedule. Jack Roush won the Owners' Championship, while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of Roush Fenway Racing won the Drivers' Championship with a second-place finish at the final race of the season. Ford won the Manufacturers' Championship with 212 points.
NTS Motorsports was an American professional stock car racing team that competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The team was owned by Californian Bob Newberry, coming into its current form after Joe Denette Motorsports merged with Newberry's NTS team, both of which originally had support from Kevin Harvick. The team's final race was at Daytona in 2016.
Ryan A. Reed is an American professional stock car racing driver and driver coach who previously competed part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Reed previously competed full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series with Roush Fenway Racing for five years, driving the No. 16 Ford Mustang, which was highlighted by two wins at the season-opening Daytona race. He has also competed in the ARCA/CRA Super Series in the past. After Roush closed down their Xfinity Series team after the 2018 season, Reed has mostly been without a ride in NASCAR since then. While in that situation, Reed has worked since 2020 as the driver coach for Jack Wood, who competes for GMS Racing in the ARCA Menards Series.
Akinori Ogata is a Japanese professional stock car racing driver. He competes part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 43 Chevrolet Silverado for Reaume Brothers Racing and part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 13 Toyota Supra for MBM Motorsports. He has also competed in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East in the past.
Dylan J. Lupton is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, driving the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports. He has also competed in the NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, ARCA Menards Series, what is now the ARCA Menards Series East, and the ARCA Menards Series West in the past.
The 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was the 24th season of the third highest stock car racing series sanctioned by NASCAR in North America. Christopher Bell entered as the defending champion, but he did not defend his championship, leaving his No. 4 Kyle Busch Motorsports entry to a number of drivers throughout the season, with Todd Gilliland covering the majority of the schedule in the truck. Title sponsor Camping World Holdings rebranded the series with their Gander Outdoors brand they acquired in 2017 for the 2019 season, replacing the Camping World brand.
Matthew "Matt" Kurzejewski is an American professional stock car racing driver. He most recently competed full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 52 Toyota/Chevrolet for Ken Schrader Racing in 2016. Prior to that, he competed with his own team for the entirety of his stock car racing career. This includes in ARCA part-time for four seasons (2008 and 2013, 2014, and 2015, the year he won the series' superspeedway championship. He also made two Truck Series starts in 2013 at Iowa and Las Vegas and ran part-time in the East Series in 2009. However, he is currently and has been without a ride in any series since 2016.
Jerick Johnson is an American professional stock car racing driver. He has made starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, and the East and West Series. He competed in all of these series between 2003 and 2011.
