The 2010 K League Championship was the 14th competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 28th champions of the K League. The top six clubs of the regular season qualified for the championship. The winners of the regular season directly qualified for the final, and second place team qualified for the semi-final. The other four clubs entered the first round, and the winners of the second round advanced to the semi-final. Each match was played as a single match, excluding the final which consisted of two matches.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup</span> Association football tournament for under-17 national teams

The FIFA U-17 World Cup 2007, the twelfth edition of the tournament, was held in South Korea between 18 August and 9 September 2007. For this event, the number of teams had been expanded from 16 to 24, with the top two of each group and the four best third-place teams advancing to the Round of 16. Also, from now on, the confederation which produced the last champion, in this case CONCACAF, had an extra spot in the qualifying rounds.

At the 2002 FIFA World Cup, the knockout stage was the second and final stage of the tournament, following the group stage. The top two teams from each group advance to the knockout stage to compete in a single-elimination style tournament. A third place match is included and played between the two losing teams of the semi-finals.

The K League All-Star Game is an annual association football exhibition match organised by the South Korean K League. The inaugural match was held in 1991.

The 2006 K League Championship was the tenth competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 24th champions of the K League. After the regular season was finished, the first stage winners, the second stage winners, and the top two clubs in the overall table qualified for the championship. Each semi-final was played as a single match, and the final consisted of two matches.

The 2000 K League Championship was the seventh competition of the K League Championship, and was held to decide the 18th champions of the K League. It was contested between the top four clubs of the regular season. The first round was played as a single match between third place and fourth place of the regular season. The winners of the first round advanced to the semi-final, and played against runners-up of the regular season over two legs. The winners of the regular season directly qualified for the best-of-three final.

The Super Match is a name for a football rivalry between two South Korean football teams from the Seoul Capital Area, FC Seoul and Suwon Samsung Bluewings. The match and the rivalry between the two teams is regarded as the biggest in South Korean K League.

Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma–Suwon Samsung Bluewings football rivalry was called Magyedaejeon or Magye derby. K League stated in its official website that this match is one of classic football rivalries in the league. The match takes place between the two professional K League Classic teams in Seoul National Capital Area; Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma and Suwon Samsung Bluewings.

The K League Classic was changed its name to "K League 1" in this season. As the 2018 FIFA World Cup start on 14 June, the last round before stoppage will be held on 19–20 May. The league will resume games on 7 July.

The 2022 K League 1, also known as the Hana 1Q K League 1 for sponsorship reasons, is the 40th season of the top division of professional football in South Korea since its establishment in 1983 as the K League, and the fifth season under its current name, the K League 1. Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors are the defending champions.
