President of Nepal head of state of Nepal

The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal is the head of state of Nepal and commander in chief of the Nepalese Armed Forces. The office was created in May 2008 after the country was declared as a republic. The first President of Nepal was Ram Baran Yadav. The current president is Bidhya Devi Bhandari, elected in October 2015. She is the first female Nepali head of state. The President is to be formally addressed as "The Right Honourable".

Ram Baran Yadav is a Nepalese politician and physician who served as the First President of Nepal following the declaration of a republic in 2008. He served as a Nepalese President from 23 July 2008 to 29 October 2015. Previously he served as Minister of Health from 1999 to 2001 and General Secretary of the Nepali Congress. Yadav was Minister of State for Health in the 1991–1994 Nepali Congress government. He was elected to the House of Representatives in the 1999 election as a candidate of the Nepali Congress. After that election, he became Minister of Health.

He/she should be member of the House of the Representative Pratinidhi Sabha. The prime minister is the senior-most member of cabinet in the executive of government in a parliamentary system. The prime minister selects and can dismiss members of the cabinet; allocates posts to members within the government; and is the presiding member and chairperson of the cabinet.

The Communist Party of Nepal was one of the two major communist parties in Nepal. The party was formed in January 1991 with the unification of the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist–Leninist). It has led four governments: from 1994 to 1995 under Man Mohan Adhikari, from 2009 to 2011 under Madhav Kumar Nepal, in 2011 under Jhala Nath Khanal, and from 2015 to 2016 under KP Sharma Oli. The party was also a junior partner in five coalition governments: in 1997 under Lokendra Bahadur Chand, from 1998 to 1999 under Girija Prasad Koirala, from 2008 to 2009 under Pushpa Kamal Dahal, from 2011 to 2013 under Baburam Bhattarai, and from 2014 to 2015 under Sushil Koirala. It dissolved on 17 May 2018 to make way for the Nepal Communist Party in a merger with the Communist Party of Nepal.

Paudel was elected member in the C.A. 2013 from Rupandehi. Paudel was a Minister for Water Resources in 2009. Before that he served as Minister for Youth, Sports and Culture in 1996. He was elected in the parliament in 1996 from Palpa District. In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election he was elected from the Rupandehi-4 constituency, winning 15880 votes. Naya Shakti Party, Nepal Political Party of Nepal, established by Baburam Bhattarai

Naya Shakti Party, Nepal was a democratic socialist political party in Nepal formed by former Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on 12 June 2016. On 6 May 2019, the party merged with Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal to form Samajbadi Party, Nepal.

Bhattarai cabinet

On 29 March 2011, after Jhala Nath Khanal stepped down as the 35th Prime Minister of Nepal, Baburam Bhattarai was elected the new Prime Minister by the Parliament of Nepal securing the votes of smaller parties of southern Nepal. Following his election, Bhattarai set up a coalition cabinet consisting of his Communist Party of Nepal as well the smaller parties Nepal Sadbhawana Party, Tarai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party, Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi) and Madhesi Jana Adhikar Forum, Nepal.

The Samajbadi Party, Nepal is a newly formed political party in Nepal by the merger of Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal led by Deputy Prime-minister Upendra Yadav, and Naya Shakti Party, Nepal led by former Prime-Minister Baburam Bhattarai. The party was formed on 6 May 2019 with the ideology of Democratic socialism, and Ethnic federalism. The new party will use the flag and election symbol of Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal.
