The 2012 National Football Challenge Cup was the 22nd edition of National Football Challenge Cup , the domestic cup competition in Pakistani football. The edition was sponsored by Karachi Port Trust, therefore, it was also known as the 2012 KPT Challenge Cup. [1]

Contents

The tournament was held in Karachi, with KPT Stadium and People's Football Stadium having two matches played simultaneously. [2] [3]

Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, having won their third title the previous year after defeating National Bank 1–0 in the finals. [4]

Khan Research Laboratories won the title after defeating Karachi Electric Supply Corporation 3–1 on penalties the after game ended 0–0 after extra-time. [5]

The match was abandoned, when Pakistan Police players slapped the referee for awarding penalty to Khan Research Laboratories on 16th minute. [6] Pakistan Football Federation awarded forfeit to Khan Research Laboratories and suspended and fined 6 Pakistan Police players with Rs. 20,000 each. [7]

Khan Research Laboratories Football Club, sometimes abbreviated to KRL F.C. or KRL, is a Pakistani professional football club based in Rawalpindi. The club is affiliated with Khan Research Laboratories and the team play their home games at KRL Stadium. The club has won five league titles and six National Football Challenge Cup. Samar Ishaq is a retired Pakistani professional footballer who formerly played for Khan Research Laboratories, and is the current defending coach of his life-long club Khan Research Laboratories.

The 2011 season is the 57th season of Pakistan domestic football and the 8th season of the Pakistan Premier League, and started on 5 July 2011 under the auspices of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF). The season ending on 29 December with mid season break between 30 July and 14 September.

2018 National Challenge Cup Football tournament season

The 2018 Pakistan National Football Challenge Cup was the 27th edition of domestic cup competition in Pakistan. 24 teams participated in the competition, from 21 April to 10 May 2018. The Pakistan National Challenge Cup was held in Karachi after FIFA lifted it ban. The matches took place at the KPT Stadium and the All Brothers Football Stadium, Malir.

The 2018–19 Pakistan Premier League was the 61st season of Pakistan domestic football and the 12th season of the Pakistan Premier League, and the first season to be played since 2014–15.

The 2013 National Football Challenge Cup was the 23rd season of National Challenge Cup, the main cup competition in Pakistani football.

The 2018–19 season is Khan Research Laboratories Football Club's 23rd competitive season, 22nd consecutive season in the top flight of Pakistani football, 12th consecutive season in the Premier League, and 23rd year in existence as a football club.

The 2011 PFF League (PFFL) was the 8th season of second tier of Pakistan Football Federation. The season started on 22 November 2011 and concluded on 20 December 2011.

The 2019 PFF National Challenge Cup was the 28th edition of domestic association football cup competition in Pakistan. 15 teams participated in the competition, commencing from 19 July and concluding on 4 August 2019. The competition was held in Peshawar, with Tehmas Khan Football Stadium and Qayyum Football Stadium hosting all the matches.

The 2017 NBP President's Cup was the first edition of NBP President's Cup. The tournament was sponsored by National Bank of Pakistan in 2017, as there was no footballing activity in Pakistan since 2016 PFF Cup. The tournament commenced on 17 January and concluded on 26 January.

The 2018 National Challenge Cup final was a football match between Pakistan Air Force and WAPDA played on 10 May 2018 at KPT Football Stadium in Karachi. Pakistan Air Force won their second National Challenge Cup title after having won the first in 2014.

The 2019–20 season is Khan Research Laboratories Football Club's 24th competitive season, 23rd consecutive season in the top flight of Pakistani football, 13th consecutive season in the Premier League, and 24th year in existence as a football club.

The 2013 PFF League(PFFL) was the 10th season of second tier of Pakistan Football Federation. The season started on 29 November 2013 and concluded on 28 December 2013. The event took place in Lahore, Layyah and Karachi.
