The 2013 Clipsal 500 Adelaide was a motor race for V8 Supercars held on 2 and 3 March 2013. The event was held at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, South Australia, [1] and consisted of two races of two hundred and fifty kilometres in length. It was the first round of the 2013 International V8 Supercars Championship, [2] and marked the racing debuts of the Holden VF Commodore, [3] Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, [4] and Nissan Altima L33, [5] all of which were entered in the series under the brand-new "Car of the Future" regulations; [6] Ford continued to use the FG Falcon model raced in previous years, but built to Car of the Future specifications.

The Adelaide 500, as of 2023 also known as the VAILO Adelaide 500 for sponsorship reasons, formerly VALO Adelaide 500, Superloop Adelaide 500 and Clipsal 500, is an annual motor racing event for Supercars held on the streets of the east end of Adelaide, South Australia between 1999 and 2020 and again from 2022. The event uses a shortened form of the Adelaide Street Circuit, the former Australian Grand Prix track.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jamie Whincup</span> Australian racing driver

Jamie Whincup is an Australian professional racing driver competing in the Supercars Championship. He currently is team principal for Triple Eight Race Engineering. He has driven the No. 88 Holden ZB Commodore, won a record seven Supercars championship titles, four Bathurst 1000 victories, and a Bathurst 12 Hour victory. Whincup is the all-time record holder in the Supercars Championship for race wins, at 124 career wins. He is also the first driver to win the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy twice at Pukekohe Park Raceway in Auckland, New Zealand.

Triple Eight Race Engineering, branded as Red Bull Ampol Racing, is an Australian motor racing team competing in the Supercars Championship. The team has been the only Brisbane-based V8 Supercar team since its formation, originally taking over and operating out of the former Briggs Motor Sport workshop in Bowen Hills during the 2003 season before moving to Banyo in 2009. The team has won the Supercars drivers' championship ten times, the teams' championship eleven times and the Bathurst 1000 nine times.

Shane Robert van Gisbergen is a New Zealand racing driver in the Supercars Championship racing in the Number 97 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 car for Triple Eight Race Engineering. With three Supercars Championship wins, 80 wins and 46 pole positions, van Gisbergen is the fourth most successful racing driver in the Supercars Championship history. He has won the Bathurst 1000 twice, in 2020 and 2022, both times alongside Garth Tander.

Tekno Autosports was an Australian motor racing team, established in the 1990s initially for the motor racing activities of Stephen Webb, and later his son Jonathon Webb. The team competes in the Supercars Championship using two Holden ZB Commodores built by Triple Eight Race Engineering. Fabian Coulthard and Garry Jacobson are the team's current drivers. At the end of 2021, the Supercars team was sold to Peter Xiberras and rebranded PremiAir Racing.

The 2011 International V8 Supercar Championship was an FIA sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It was the thirteenth V8 Supercar Championship Series and the fifteenth series in which V8 Supercars contested the premier Australian touring car title. It was the first since the series was elevated to the 'International category' status by the FIA. The 2012 International V8 Supercar Championship was an FIA-sanctioned international motor racing series for V8 Supercars. It was the fourteenth running of the V8 Supercar Championship Series and the sixteenth series in which V8 Supercars have contested the premier Australian touring car title. The 2016 Wilson Security Sandown 500 was a motor racing event for Supercars, held from 16 to 18 September 2016 at the Sandown Raceway in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and consisted of one race of 445 kilometres in length. It was the tenth event of fourteen in the 2016 International V8 Supercars Championship and hosted Race 20 of the season. It was also the first event of the 2016 Enduro Cup. The event was the 46th running of the Sandown 500.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide</span>

The 2017 Clipsal 500 Adelaide was a motor racing event for Supercars that was held on the weekend of 3 to 5 March 2017. The event was run at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, South Australia, and was the nineteenth running of the Adelaide 500. It was the first event of fourteen in the 2017 Supercars Championship and consisted of two races of 250 kilometres. It was to be the last time Clipsal would be title sponsor for the event, having been so since 2000.

The 2019 Supercars Championship was the twenty-first running of the Supercars Championship and the twenty-third series in which Supercars have contested the Australian Touring Car Championship, the premier title in Australian motorsport. The 2019 championship also included the running of the 1,000th Australian Touring Car Championship race, which was contested at the Melbourne 400.

Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport was an Australian motor racing team that competed in the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. The team was sold to Phil Munday and re-branded as 23Red Racing at the end of 2017.
