The 2013–14 Baylor Bears basketball team represented Baylor University in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. This was head coach Scott Drew's eleventh season at Baylor. The Bears competed in the Big 12 Conference and played their home games at the Ferrell Center. They finished the season 26–12, 9–9 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They advanced to the championship game of the Big 12 tournament where they lost to Iowa State. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Nebraska and Creighton to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they lost to Wisconsin.

Scott Homer Drew is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Baylor Bears, a position he has held since 2003.
The Baylor Bears are the athletic teams that represent Baylor University. The teams participate in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) as one of only two private school members of the Big 12 Conference. Prior to joining the Big 12, Baylor was a member of the Southwest Conference from their charter creation in 1914 until its dissolution in 1996. Baylor is also a founding member of the Big 12 Conference.
The Baylor Bears men's basketball team represents Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. The Bears compete in the Big 12 Conference. The team plays its home games in Ferrell Center and is currently coached by Scott Drew.
The Seattle Redhawks men's basketball team represents Seattle University in NCAA Division I basketball competition. Established in 1946, the team was previously known as the Seattle Chieftains. The program experienced success during the 1950s and 1960s, reaching the NCAA Division I tournament 11 times. Led by 1958 No. 1 draft pick Elgin Baylor, Seattle finished runner-up in the 1958 NCAA University Division basketball tournament.
The 2009–10 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began in November 2009 and ended with the 2010 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament's championship game on April 6, 2010 at the Alamodome in San Antonio. The tournament opened with the first and second rounds on Thursday through Sunday, March 18–21, 2010. Regional games were played on Thursday through Sunday, March 28–31, 2010, with the Final Four played on Sunday and Tuesday, April 4 and 6, 2010.

The 2008–09 Washington Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Washington in the 2008–09 college basketball season. This was head coach Lorenzo Romar's 7th season at Washington. The Huskies played their home games at Bank of America Arena and are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 26–9, 14–4 in Pac-10 play and they captured the Pac–10 regular season title and an at-large bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. They earned a 4 seed in the West Region which they defeated Mississippi State in the first round before losing to Purdue in the second round.

The team finished 30–7 overall and 12–6 in Big 12 Conference play to finish in a third-place tie with Iowa State. In postseason play, Baylor lost to Missouri in the 2012 Big 12 men's basketball tournament championship game and Kentucky in the Elite Eight of the 2012 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament.

They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated New Mexico State and USC before losing in the Sweet Sixteen to South Carolina.
The 1996–97 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represented Iowa State University during the 1996–97 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cyclones were coached by Tim Floyd, who was in his 3rd season. They played their home games at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa and is an original member of the newly created Big 12 Conference. The Big 12 conference was formed by the eight teams of the recently dissolved Big Eight Conference and was joined by Baylor, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech, all formally of the Southwest Conference which had also dissolved following the 1995–1996 school year.

They did not receive an at-large invitation to the 2012 NCAA tournament.
