The 2014 Caribbean Premier League season was the second season of the Caribbean Premier League, established by the West Indies Cricket Board. It began on 11 July and ended 16 August.

Andre Dwayne Russell is a Jamaican cricketer. Russell plays for the West Indies internationally and for Jamaica in West Indian domestic cricket, as an all-rounder. He bats predominantly in the middle order for the West Indies. Widely regarded as one of the most powerful strikers of the cricket ball, Russell scored a century in a record 40 balls in the 2018 Caribbean Premier League against Trinbago Knight Riders. He also took a hat-trick in the same. Thus he became the 2nd player after Joe Denly to take a hat-trick and score a century in the same match.

Samuel Badree is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays internationally for the West Indies. He is a right-arm leg-spin bowler.

The Caribbean Premier League is an annual Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Caribbean. It was created in 2013 and replaced the Caribbean Twenty20 as the premier Twenty20 competition in the Caribbean. It is currently sponsored by Hero MotoCorp and consequently officially named the Hero CPL. The inaugural tournament was won by the Jamaica Tallawahs who defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final.

The Antigua Hawksbills was a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise based in Antigua and Barbuda, that played its home games at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Saint Peter Parish, Antigua. The name 'Hawksbills' comes after the sea turtle that populates around the Caribbean Sea and is critically endangered according to the World Conservation Union.

The Guyana Amazon Warriors is a franchise cricket team of the Caribbean Premier League based in Providence, Georgetown, Guyana. The team is the representative cricket team of Guyana in the Caribbean Premier League. It was one of the six teams created in 2013 for the inaugural season of the tournament.
