Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya is a Nigerian politician who has served in the Senate of Nigeria since 2007 representing the Kano South constituency of Kano State. He is a member of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).
Abubakar Sani Bello, also known as Lolo, is a Nigerian politician who is the current senator representing the Niger North Senatorial District. He previously served as the governor of Niger State from 2015 to 2023. He is a member of All Progressives Congress.

Niger South senatorial district Also known as Kin-Nupe or Nupe Kingdom is an electoral district for the Senate of Nigeria, and is Zone A within Niger State. Peter Jiya Ndalikali of the People democracy party (PDP) is the current senator. The Niger South senatorial district covers 8 local government areas which includes:

- Lapai local government area
- Lavun local government area

The 2019 Nigerian gubernatorial elections were held for state governors in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All but three were held on 2 March 2019 with the election for Rivers State being postponed until 4 April, while the Kogi State and Bayelsa State elections were both held on 16 November. The last regular gubernatorial elections for all states were in 2015.
The 2023 Nigerian gubernatorial elections were held for state governors in 31 out of 36 Nigerian states. All but three elections were held on 18 March—concurrent with elections to every state house of assembly, three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections—while the Imo State, Kogi State, and Bayelsa State elections will be held on 11 November. The last regular gubernatorial elections for all states were in 2019. All states have a two term limit for Governors which makes 18 incumbent governors ineligible for re-election.
The 2023 Jigawa State gubernatorial election took place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Jigawa State, concurrent with elections to the Jigawa State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was later scheduled to hold three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Deputy Governor Umar Namadi held the office for the APC by a margin of 24% over PDP nominee Mustapha Sule Lamido — a businessman and son of former Governor Sule Lamido.
The 2023 Kaduna State gubernatorial election was held on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Kaduna State, concurrent with elections to the Kaduna State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Senator Uba Sani retained the office for the APC by a margin of less than 1% — under 11,000 votes — over first runner-up and PDP nominee Isa Ashiru, a former member of the House of Representatives.
The 2023 Kebbi State gubernatorial election was held on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Kebbi State, concurrent with elections to the Kebbi State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Nasir Idris, a teachers' union leader, held the office for the APC by a margin of 6% over the PDP nominee — former Army major general Aminu Bande.
The 2023 Niger State gubernatorial election was held on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Niger State, concurrent with elections to the Niger State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — will be held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Abubakar Sani Bello was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Mohammed Umar Bago — House of Representatives member for Chanchaga — retained the office for the APC by a margin of 9.4% over former commissioner Isah Liman Kantigi, the PDP nominee.
The 2023 Sokoto State gubernatorial election was held on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Sokoto State, concurrent with elections to the Sokoto State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent PDP Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. Former Deputy Governor Ahmad Aliyu gained the office for the APC by a margin of ~6% over the PDP nominee — former Secretary to the State Government Saidu Umar.
The 2019 Nigerian Senate election in Kano State held on February 23, 2019, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Kano State. Ibrahim Shekarau representing Kano Central, Jibrin I Barau representing Kano North and Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya representing Kano south all won on the platform of All Progressives Congress.
The 2019 Nigerian Senate election in Kaduna State held on February 23, 2019, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Kaduna State. Kwari Suleiman Abdu representing Kaduna North, Sani Uba representing Kaduna Central both won on the platform of All Progressives Congress. while Laah Danjuma Tella representing Kaduna South returned to parliament on the platform of People's Democratic Party
The 2019 Nigerian Senate election in Sokoto State was held on February 23, 2019, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Sokoto State. Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko representing Sokoto North, Shehu Abubakar Tambuwal representing Sokoto South and Abdullahi Ibrahim Gobir representing Sokoto East all won on the platform of All Progressives Congress. But the Court of Appeal Sokoto Division on 30 October 2019 sacked Shehu Abubakar Tambuwal representing Sokoto South on the platform of All Progressives Congress. Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party replaced the sacked senator.
The 2015 Nigerian Senate election in Niger State was held on March 28, 2015, to elect members of the Nigerian Senate to represent Niger State. Mustapha Sani representing Niger South, Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi representing Niger North and David Umaru representing Niger East all won on the platform of All Progressives Congress.
The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections were held on 25 February 2023 in all 109 senatorial districts where voters elected senators using first-past-the-post voting. The last regular senatorial elections for all districts were in 2019.

The 2023 Nigerian Senate elections in Niger State will be held on 25 February 2023, to elect the 3 federal Senators from Niger State, one from each of the state's three senatorial districts. The elections will coincide with the 2023 presidential election, as well as other elections to the Senate and elections to the House of Representatives; with state elections being held two weeks later. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
