Ike Ekweremadu representing Enugu West, Chimaroke Ogbonnia Nnamani representing Enugu East and Utazi Chukwuka representing Enugu North all won on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party.

Enugu West

A total of 18 candidates registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission to contest in the election. PDP candidate Ike Ekweremadu won the election, defeating APC candidate, Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu and 16 other party candidates. Ekeweremadu scored 86,088 votes, while APC candidate Ibekaku-Nwagwu scored 15,187 votes. [1] [2]

A total of 20 candidates registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission to contest in the election. PDP candidate, Chimaroke Nnamani won the election, defeating APC candidate Lawrence Ozeh and 18 other party candidates. Nnamani pulled 128,853 votes, while APC candidate Ozeh scored 14,225. [3]

A total of 13 candidates registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission to contest in the election. PDP candidate Utazi Chukwuka won the election, defeating APC candidate Ogbonna Odo. Chukwuka pulled 146,458 votes while his closest rival Odo pulled 22,229. [4]

Chimaroke Nnamani is a Nigerian medical doctor and politician from Enugu State. He was elected Governor of Enugu State in the 1999 Enugu State gubernatorial election from 1999 to 2007. He subsequently served as a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator for Enugu East Senatorial District from 2007 to 2011 and was re-elected in 2019.

The 2023 Enugu State gubernatorial election took place on 18th March 2023, to elect the Governor of Enugu State, concurrent with elections to the Enugu State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election — which was postponed from its original 11 March date — was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Primaries were held between 4 April and 9 June 2022.
