The 2019-20 Union Dutchmen ice hockey season was the 80th season of play for the program and the 29th season in the ECAC Hockey conference. The Dutchmen represented Union College and played their home games at Achilles Center, and were coached by Rick Bennett, in his 9th season.

Eric John "Rick" Bennett is an American former ice hockey left winger and head coach of the Savannah Ghost Pirates. He is the former head coach of the Union Dutchmen ice hockey team of Union College, where he coached from 2011 until 2022.
NCAA Division I independent schools are teams that compete in NCAA ice hockey but are not members of a conference. There are several current schools who, at one time or another, competed as Division I independents.
The Union Dutchmen ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college ice hockey program that represents Union College. The Dutchmen are a member of ECAC Hockey. They play at the Frank L. Messa Rink at Achilles Center in Schenectady, New York. The Dutchmen won the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament by defeating the Minnesota Golden Gophers 7–4.
The Quinnipiac Bobcats men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Quinnipiac University. The Bobcats are a member of ECAC Hockey. They play at the M&T Bank Arena in Hamden, Connecticut.
The 2013–14 Union Dutchmen ice hockey team represented Union College in the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The Dutchmen were coached by Rick Bennett, who was in his third season as head coach. His assistant coaches were Joe Dumais, Jason Tapp, and John Ronan. The team captain was Mat Bodie and the assistant captains were Daniel Carr and Shayne Gostisbehere. The Dutchmen played their home games at Frank L. Messa Rink at Achilles Center and were members of the ECAC Hockey conference.
The 2010–11 Minnesota–Duluth Bulldogs men's ice hockey team represented the University of Minnesota Duluth in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The Bulldogs were coached by Scott Sandelin, who was in his 11th year as head coach. His assistant coaches were Brett Larson and Derek Plante. The team captain was Mike Montgomery and the assistant captains were Jack Connolly and Mike Connolly. The team played their home games in AMSOIL Arena and were members of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
Michael Vecchione is an American professional ice hockey center who is currently playing for the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Bruce Delventhal is a retired American ice hockey player, coach and administrator who led two ice hockey programs before becoming the athletic director for Plattsburgh State.
The LIU Sharks women's ice hockey team represents Long Island University in NCAA Division I ice hockey competition as a member of the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA). They play their home games at Islanders Iceworks in Syosset, New York and Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow, New York.
