Juliane Schenk is a badminton player from Germany. In March 2014 she retired from international play.
Jan Østergaard Jørgensen is a retired badminton player from Denmark who played for SIF (Skovshoved) in the Denmark badminton league. He won the men's singles title at the 2014 European Championships, and the bronze medalist at the 2015 World Championships. He joined the Denmark winning team at the 2016 Thomas Cup in Kunshan, China.
Pusarla Venkata Sindhu is an Indian professional badminton player. Over the course of her career, Sindhu has won medals at multiple tournaments including Olympics and on the BWF circuit including a gold at the 2019 World Championships. She is the first Indian to become the Badminton World Champion and only the second individual athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. She rose to a career-high world ranking of no. 2 in April 2017.
Chou Tien-chen is a badminton player from Taiwan. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. He won his first BWF Super Series title at the 2014 French Open, beating Wang Zhengming of China 10–21, 25–23, 21–19 in the finals. He is the record holder of three consecutive Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold titles from 2012 till 2014.
Minatsu Mitani is a retired Japanese badminton player who is a singles specialist from NTT East badminton club. She competed at the 2014 Asian Games.
Nozomi Okuhara is a Japanese badminton player. A former World's No. 1 in BWF rankings for the women's singles, she is well known for her speed, agility and endurance. She won a bronze at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and gold medal at the 2017 World Championships.
Tse Ying Suet is a Hong Kong badminton player. She competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's doubles event. In 2012, she won the women's doubles title at the Japan Open tournament with Poon Lok Yan by beating four Japan pairs consecutively.
Ayaka Takahashi is a retired Japanese badminton player who was affiliated with Unisys badminton team. She is an Olympic Games gold medalist, two-time Asian Champion, two-time Asian Games silver medalist, and World Championship bronze medalist.
Son Wan-ho is a South Korean badminton player. He reached a career high as world number 1 in the men's singles in May 2017. He competed at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. He plays primarily defensively, and began playing badminton after a teacher suggested it to him in elementary school. He holds a bachelor's degree from Inha University in Incheon, South Korea. In 2017, he helped the Korean national team reach the final at the Sudirman Cup and win that tournament. He is married to compatriot women's singles player, Sung Ji-hyun.
Premier Badminton League (PBL) is a team badminton league held in India. Sportz & Live Private Limited (Sportzlive) has the rights to operate and execute the Premier Badminton League.
Bengaluru Raptors is a franchise badminton team representing Bengaluru in the Premier Badminton League (PBL). The team is one of the six founding members of PBL in 2013. The franchise was owned by the conglomerate, BOP group in 2013. In 2016, Sachin Tendulkar bought the franchise and named it after his Blasters sports franchises. In 2018, Matrix Badminton Teamworks Pvt. Ltd. took over the team and renamed it to Bengaluru Raptors.
2016 Premier Badminton League was the first edition of the Premier Badminton League. The season was held from 2–17 January 2016. The opening ceremony was held in Mumbai and the Finals in Delhi. Delhi Dashers became the champions after beating Mumbai Rockets in the final.

In the 2017-18 the team was captained by Indian badminton player H.S. Prannoy, and coached by Madhumita Bisht. In the 2018-19 season the team was captained by non other than Viktor Axelsen from Denmark and still coached by Indian lady coach Madhumita Bisht The team was folded after PBL 2018-19 season due to financial issues.
Delhi Dashers was one of the Badminton teams competing in the Premier Badminton League (PBL). Delhi Dashers have been a part of the PBL since its inception and their best finish arrived in the Season 2 (2016), after defeating Mumbai Rockets in the finals. Owned by Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd., who became the new owners of the franchise from third season onwards, Delhi Dashers finished at the third position in the PBL season III (2017).
2020 Premier Badminton League was the fifth edition of Premier Badminton League. It was played from 20 January and concluded on 9 February 2020. The season featured seven competing teams. Also, the Chennai team previously known as Chennai Smashers featured as Chennai Superstarz. Bengaluru Raptors beat Northeastern Warriors 4-2 in the finals to become champions. It was also their second consecutive title in the PBL.

The league is an initiative between the Handball Federation of India and Sportz & Live Entertainment Private Limited, which also hold the long-term rights for Badminton, Boxing and Cue leagues. Sony Pictures Networks India is the official broadcaster and Dream11 is the official fantasy partner for the first three seasons of the league. The Premier Handball League uses a franchise-based model.
