Javelin throw Track and field athletics event

The Javelin throw is a track and field event where the javelin, a spear about 2.5 m in length, is thrown. The javelin thrower gains momentum by running within a predetermined area. Javelin throwing is an event of both the men's decathlon and the women's heptathlon.

Devendra Jhajharia Indian Paralympic javelin thrower

Devendra Jhajharia is an Indian Paralympic javelin thrower competing in F46 events. He is the first Indian Paralympics player to win two gold medals at the Paralympics. He won his first gold in the javelin throw at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens, becoming the second gold medalist at the Paralympics for his country. At the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, he won a second gold medal in the same event, bettering his previous record. Devendra is currently being supported by the Olympic Gold Quest.

Hollie Arnold British athlete

Hollie Beth Arnold, is a British parasport athlete competing in category F46 javelin. Although born in Grimsby, she now lives and trains in Loughborough. She represents Wales in the Commonwealth Games. Arnold was the youngest ever field athlete to ever compete in the Paralympics/Olympics, at the age of 14 at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing throwing a personal best. She also threw a personal best in 2012 Summer Paralympics in London. She took the gold medal in the F46 javelin in the 2016 Summer Paralympics at Rio, also throwing a new world record at the same time. In 2018, she became the first ever Javelin thrower in history to hold all four major titles in the same Paralympic/Olympic 4-year cycle: Rio Paralympics and world record 2016, London World Championships and world record 2017, Berlin European Championships and course record 2018 and Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and world record 2018. She also holds four consecutive world titles: 2013 Lyon, 2015 Doha, 2017 London, and 2019 Dubai.

Jayden Sawyer Australian Paralympic athlete

Jayden Sawyer is an Australian para athlete who competes mainly in the F38 category in throwing events. He won has won gold and bronze medals at the World Para Athletics Championships. He has been selected for the 2020 Summer Paralympics, his second Games.

Holly Robinson is a New Zealand para-athlete, primarily competing in the javelin throw. She represented New Zealand at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London and the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro. At the 2016 Games, she was New Zealand's flagbearer for the opening ceremony, and won the silver medal in the women's javelin throw F46. At the 2018 Commonwealth Games she won the silver medal in the same event.

Neeraj Chopra Indian javelin thrower

Neeraj Chopra is an Indian track and field athlete who competes in the javelin throw. As of August 2021, he is ranked second internationally by World Athletics. A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in the Indian Army, Chopra is the first track and field athlete to win a gold medal for India at the Olympics. He is also the first track and field athlete from India to win at the IAAF World U20 Championships, where in 2016 he achieved a world under-20 record throw of 86.48 m, becoming the first Indian athlete to set a world record.

The men's javelin throw at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships was held at the Olympic Stadium in London from 14–23 July.

The men's javelin throw at the 2018 World Para Athletics European Championships was held at the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Berlin from 20 - 26 August. 9 classification finals are held in all over this event.

Nigeria will be competing at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan, from 24 August and 5 September 2021. This will be their eighth consecutive appearance at the Summer Paralympics since 1992.

Lucyna Kornobys is a Polish Paralympic athlete competing in discus throw, javelin throw and shot put events. She represented Poland at the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she won the silver medal in the women's shot put F34 event. She has qualified to represent Poland at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Zhao Yuping is a visually impaired Chinese Paralympic athlete competing in F12/F13-classification events.
