The Masaryk circuit or Masarykring, also referred to as the Brno Circuit, refers to two motorsport race tracks located in Brno, Czech Republic. The original street circuit was made up of public roads, and at its longest measured 29.194 km (18.140 mi). In 1949, events such as the Czechoslovakian Grand Prix attracted top teams and drivers. The track is named after the first president of Czechoslovakia, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. Racing on the old roads ended after 1986, when the new (current) circuit was opened. Since August 2023, the circuit is owned by Shakai.

The FIE Fencing World Cup is an international fencing competition held by the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime. In each weapon, three Grand Prix, five World Cup events and several satellite events are contested each season. Adelina Rustemovna Zagidullina is a Russian right-handed foil fencer of Tatar origin. She is the two-time team European champion, two-time team world champion and 2021 team Olympic champion. Zagidullina has been married to her coach Egor Popov since 2007. She is a Russian Armed Forces athlete, and her clubs are the Central Sports Army Club [RUS], and the Ufa Fencing Sports School of Olympic Reserve [RUS].
Yuval Shalom Freilich is an Israeli left-handed épée fencer, ranked 9th in the world in 2023-24. In both 2014 and 2015 Freilich won the European Men's Épée Junior Championship. He won the individual épée gold medal at the 2019 European Fencing Championships, the épée team silver medal with Israel at the 2022 European Fencing Championships, and the gold medal at the 2024 Epee Grand Prix event in Qatar.
The 2022–23 Fencing World Cup is the 52nd edition of the Fencing World Cup, a fencing competition organized annually by the International Fencing Federation. It began on 10 November 2022 in Algiers and ends in July 2023 at the end of the World Championships. The official calendar includes eight competitions per discipline, in addition to the zone and world championships.
