The pre-event entry list consisted of 43 entries between 4 categories - 14 in LMP2, 8 in LMP2 Pro/Am, 10 in LMP3 and 11 in LMGT3. [1] [2]
It was another ELMS round missed by Ferdinand Habsburg as the result of a crash at MotorLand Aragón. As in Barcelona Paul-Loup Chatin replaced Habsburg in the No. 47 COOL Racing. The European Le Mans Series is a European sports car racing endurance series inspired by the 24 Hours of Le Mans race and organized by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO). The European Le Mans Series is similar to the former American Le Mans Series (ALMS) based in the United States and Canada that was running with ACO and IMSA between 1999 and 2013. ELMS team champions and runners-up receive an automatic entry to the following year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. Originally titled the Le Mans Endurance Series before becoming simply the Le Mans Series in 2006, the series was renamed once more in 2012, reusing a name previously utilized by IMSA in 2001.
Greaves Motorsport is a British racing team, currently competing in the European Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Paul-Loup Chatin is a professional racing driver from France. He has experienced notable successes within the LMP2 class, winning the European Le Mans Series in 2014 and 2019, as well as scoring pole positions at the 2018 and 2023 iterations of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Other achievements include a class victory at the 2021 24 Hours of Daytona and the LMP2 title in the 2023 IMSA SportsCar Championship.
Mikkel Jensen is a Danish racing driver. He is a Peugeot Sport factory driver currently competing in the World Endurance Championship, having previously been a factory driver for BMW.
Charlie Eastwood is a racing driver from Northern Ireland who currently competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for TF Sport. Having been an Aston Martin factory driver, Eastwood was signed by Corvette Racing in 2023.
