The 2024 BWF World Junior Championships, is the twenty-fourth edition of the BWF World Junior Championships held in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China.

Host city selection

In November 2023, it was announced by BWF that the championships will be held in Nanchang, Jiangxi. [1]

Shi Yuqi is a Chinese badminton player who is currently the world number one in men’s singles. Shi won his first Superseries title in the 2016 French Open. At the 2017 All England Open, he defeated 6-time champion Lin Dan to reach the final, and repeated the same feat again at the 2018 All England Open, where he outclassed Lin Dan in the tournament final. An Se-young is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju, who won the gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the women's singles event. She was named 2019’s Most Promising Player of the Year and 2023's Female Player of the Year by the BWF. She won the gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, making history as the first Korean women's singles player to win the World Championships title. She then clinched the women's singles gold medal at the 2022 Asian Games. An was also a part of South Korea’s gold medal winning teams at the 2022 Uber Cup and at the 2022 Asian Games.

The teams event of the 2024 BWF World Junior Championships is being held from 30 September – 5 October 2024. The event is also known as the 2024 Suhandinata Cup. China was the champion of the last edition held in Spokane, Unites States. Indonesia emerges champion after defeating China in the final.

The group stage of the 2024 BWF World Junior Championships – Teams event is the first stage of the competition. It will hold at Nanchang International Sports Center in Nanchang, Jiangxi, China, from 30 September – 5 October 2024.

The boys' singles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best boys' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The winner of the last edition was Alwi Farhan of Indonesia.

The girls' singles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best girls' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The defending champion was Pitchamon Opatniputh from Thailand. Competing as second seed, Opatniputh was upset by Yin Yiqing of China in the fourth round.

The mixed doubles of the tournament 2024 BWF World Junior Championships was an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best mixed doubles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. The tournament was held from 7 to 13 October 2024 in Nanchang International Sports Center, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China. The winner of the last edition was Liao Pinyi and Zhang Jiahan from China, but Liao Pinyi was not eligible to participate this year.
