Below is listed the Badminton World Federation's World Junior Championships medalists in the boys' and girls' singles, also in the boys', girls' and mixed doubles events. The champion(s) of the tournament win a gold medal, the runners-up take the silver medal, and both losing semifinalists are awarded bronze medals.
The mixed team event was introduced in 2000 and later was known as Suhandinata Cup since 2008. [1] A new trophy with Balinese ornament designed by Yose Sulawu was introduced in 2009 edition. [2]
The BWF World Junior Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to crown the best junior badminton players (under-19) in the world. The championships is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championships followed by an individual championships.
PB Djarum is an Indonesian badminton club in Kudus, Central Java. The club was founded at the Djarum brak located at Jl. Bitingan Lama No. 35 in Kudus in 1969. Djarum's CEO, Budi Hartono, encouraged the use of an on-site badminton court among his employees. A young athlete, Liem Swie King, played well, leading Budi Hartono to seriously develop the Kudus community's activities into the PB Djarum organization.
Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo is an Indonesian badminton player who was formerly ranked world number 1 in the men's doubles by the Badminton World Federation. He plays for PB Djarum, and has been a member of the club since 2007. He won the men's doubles titles at the All England Open in 2017 and 2018; World Superseries Finals in 2017; and at the Asian Games in 2018. He also featured in the Indonesia winning team at the SEA Games in 2015; Asia Team Championships in 2018 and 2020; and at the Thomas Cup in 2020. Together with his current partner, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, they were awarded the BWF Best Male Players of the Year for two years in a row after collecting seven Superseries titles in 2017 and eight World Tour titles in 2018.
Melati Daeva Oktavianti is an Indonesian doubles specialist badminton player affiliated with Djarum club since 2008. She was the 2019 SEA Games gold medalist in the mixed doubles with Praveen Jordan, and 2012 World Junior mixed doubles champion partnered with Edi Subaktiar. Oktavianti and Subaktiar partnership were also a former world junior number 1.
Ihsan Maulana Mustofa is an Indonesian badminton player who plays in singles event. He is from PB. Djarum, a badminton club in Kudus, Central Java and has joined the club since 2010. He was a boys' singles bronze medalist of the 2013 World Junior Championships that was held in Bangkok, Thailand. He played in the decisive matches for Indonesia to win the team event at the 2015 and 2017 SEA Games.
Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo is an Indonesian professional badminton player. He was a World junior silver medalist in 2016 and Asian Championships bronze medalist in 2022. Dwi Wardoyo also part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Rinov Rivaldy is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. He won the gold medal at the 2017 World Junior Championships, and bronze medals at the 2019 and 2021 SEA Games in the mixed doubles with Pitha Haningtyas Mentari.
Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. She won the gold medal in the mixed doubles at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships, and in the women's doubles at the 2021 SEA Games. She also won the silver medal in the 2023 World Championships.
Devin Lahardi Fitriawan is an Indonesian badminton player from the Tangkas Alfamart club. Born in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Fitriawan joined the national team in 2003. He was part of the Indonesia junior team that won the bronze medals at the 2001 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' doubles, mixed doubles, and boys' team event. In the senior event, Fitriawan plays in the mixed doubles event. Teamed-up with Lita Nurlita they won the title at the 2007 New Zealand Open and 2008 Chinese Taipei Open. He also won the 2010 Malaysia Grand Prix Gold partnered with Liliyana Natsir.
Heo Kwang-hee is a South Korean badminton player who was educated at the Dankook University. He was selected to join the national team in 2012, and joined the Samsung Electro-Mechanics team in 2014. Heo was the bronze medalists at the 2012 World Junior Championships in the boys' singles and team event, and Asian Junior Championships in the team event. Heo later won the boys' singles and mixed team gold medals at the 2013 World Junior Championships, and the mixed team silver medal at the Asian Junior Championships. In the senior level tournament, Heo was the semi-finalists at the 2017 U.S. and 2018 New Zealand Open. He competed at the 2018 Asian Games and at the 2020 Summer Olympics, is best known for upsetting top-seeded Kento Momota in the group stage of the latter tournament.
Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. He won the mixed doubles and men's team gold medals in 2023 SEA Games.
Leo Rolly Carnando is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with PB Djarum club. He was a World Junior Champions in the mixed doubles in 2018 and in the boys' doubles in 2019, also won double gold at the 2019 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' and mixed doubles events. Carnando was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Daniel Marthin is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club since 2015. He was a champion at the 2019 Asian and World Junior Championships in the boys' doubles event. Marthin was part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Ribka Sugiarto is an Indonesian badminton player specializing in doubles. Born in Tangerang, she was selected to join the Djarum club in 2013. Sugiarto was the gold medalist at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships partnered with Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma, and won her first senior international title in 2019 Indonesia Masters, a Super 100 tournament with Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti.
Putri Kusuma Wardani is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Exist Jakarta club.
Pramudya Kusumawardana Riyanto is an Indonesian badminton player from Sukabumi, who affiliate with Djarum club. He was a men's doubles gold medalists at the 2022 Asian Championships and 2023 SEA Games. He was part of the Indonesian junior team that won the bronze medals at the 2018 Asian and World Junior Championships, and also the boys' doubles bronze in the 2018 Asian Junior Championships.
Bobby Setiabudi is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. He was part of the national junior team that won the first Suhandinata Cup for Indonesia in 2019 BWF World Junior Championships.
Alwi Farhan Alhasny is an Indonesian badminton player. He was part of the Indonesia men's team squad that won gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games.
Muhammad Putra Erwiansyah is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Djarum club. He was a silver medalist in the boys' doubles and a bronze medalist in the mixed team event at the 2022 World Junior Championships.
Muhammad Rayhan Nur Fadillah is an Indonesian badminton player who is affiliated with the Djarum club. He was part of Indonesia team that won a bronze medal at the 2022 World Junior Championships.
