The 2001 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament played in Ontario, Canada in 2001. It was the Cricket World Cup qualification tournament for the 2003 Cricket World Cup. Three spots in the World Cup were on offer and the Netherlands, host nation Canada and for the first time, Namibia qualified. Scotland failed to qualify after losing in the 3rd place play-off and finishing fourth. The Netherlands won the final against Namibia.
In 2008, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C, the third division of the Brazilian League, was contested by 64 clubs, four of which qualified to the Série B. For the second time in history, Atlético Goianiense were crowned Série C champions. Following them, former Série A champions Guarani were also promoted, along with Campinense and Duque de Caxias. The new, revamped 20-club round robin Série C in 2009, will be contested by the clubs which finished from 5th to 20th this season, plus the four relegated from Série B 2008.
The 2015 Ukrainian Football Amateur League season was scheduled to start on April 22, 2015.
The 2018 edition of the European Men's and Women's Team Badminton Championships was held in Kazan, Russia, from 13 to 18 February 2018. This tournament also served as European qualification for the 2018 Thomas & Uber Cup.
The 2018 Uber Cup qualification process is a series of tournaments organised by the five BWF confederations to decide 14 of the 16 teams which will play in the 2018 Uber Cup, with Thailand qualifying automatically as hosts, and China qualifying automatically as trophy holder.

The 2020 Badminton Asia Team Championships was the third edition of Badminton Asia Team Championships, staged at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, Philippines, from 11 to 16 February 2020. This championships was organized by the Badminton Asia with Philippine Badminton Association as host organiser and sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation. This tournament served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2020 Thomas & Uber Cup in Denmark. Competitors could also accumulate points as part of qualification process for 2020 Summer Olympics badminton tournament in Tokyo. Indonesia and Japan were the defending champions on men's and women's category respectively. They both successfully defended their title.
The 2021 European Mixed Team Badminton Championships is held in Vantaa, Finland, between 16 and 20 February 2021 and organised by Badminton Europe and Badminton Finland. Milton Keynes in England was the original host for the championships, but withdrew due to financial issues related to COVID-19 pandemic and replaced by Finland.
The men's singles SL3 tournament of the 2019 BWF Para-Badminton World Championships took place from 20 to 25 August.
The women's singles badminton tournament at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place from 24 July to 1 August at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza at Tokyo. A total of 43 players from 37 nations competed.
The 2021 BWF World Tour Finals was the final tournament of the 2021 BWF World Tour. It was held from 1 to 5 December 2021 in Bali, Indonesia and had a total prize of $1,500,000.
The 2022 Badminton Asia Team Championships was the fourth edition of Badminton Asia Team Championships, held at Setia City Convention Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia, from 15 to 20 February 2022. This championships was organised by the Badminton Asia with Badminton Association of Malaysia as the host organiser. It was sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation. It served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 Thomas & Uber Cup in Thailand. Indonesia, the three-time champions, and Japan were the defending champions of the men's and women's category respectively.

It was scheduled to be held from 14 to 18 December 2022 in Guangzhou, China but was later moved to Bangkok, Thailand, and held a week earlier – from 7 to 11 December 2022 – due to the COVID-19 pandemic in China. It had a total prize of $1,500,000.
