The 2024 Troy Trojans football team represented Troy University as a member of the West Division of the Sun Belt Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They were led by first-year head coach Gerad Parker and the Trojans played their home games at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Troy, Alabama.
In the Sun Belt preseason coaches' poll, the Trojans were picked to finish second place in the West division. [1]

The Owls played their home games at Rice Stadium in Houston, Texas, and competed in the West Division of Conference USA (C–USA). They were led by second-year head coach Mike Bloomgren. They finished the season 3–9, 3–5 in C-USA play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place in the West Division. Rice started the season on a nine-game losing streak before closing out the season by winning their final three games.
