The 2009 Paraguayan Primera División season is the 75th season of top-flight professional football in Paraguay. It is the second season in which a champion will be crowned for each tournament.
Club Sportivo Ameliano, also simply known as Ameliano, is a Paraguayan football club based in Virgen del Huerto neighborhood in the city of Asunción. The club competes in the Paraguayan Primera División for the 2022 season after their promotion at the end of the 2021 Paraguayan División Intermedia.

The 2018 Copa Paraguay was the first edition of the Copa Paraguay, Paraguay's domestic football cup competition. The competition ended with Guaraní winning their first title after beating Olimpia 5–3 on penalties in the final following a 2–2 draw. Guaraní, as the winners, were awarded a berth into the 2019 Copa Sudamericana.
