The 21st International Indian Film Academy Awards were supposed to take place in Indore from 27 to 29 March 2020. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were postponed. [1] However, on 24 November 2021, the IIFA organising team declared the name of winners of all categories through their Instagram handle. [2]

The following is a list of nominees, [3] technical award winners [4] and popular award winners. [5]

Gully Boy led the ceremony with 17 nominations, followed by Article 15 and Kabir Singh with 8 nominations each, and Uri: The Surgical Strike and War with 6 nominations each.

Gully Boy won 6 awards, including Best Actress (for Alia Bhatt) and Best Supporting Actor (for Siddhant Chaturvedi), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony.

The 65th Filmfare Awards ceremony, presented by The Times Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2019. The ceremony was held on 15 February 2020 in Guwahati and broadcast on Colors TV the following day. This is the first time in six decades that a Filmfare ceremony was held outside Mumbai. Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal were hosts of the award ceremony.

The 22nd International Indian Film Academy Awards, also known as the IIFA, was held on 3–4 June 2022, postponed from the original 18–19 March 2022 date, and the 19–21 May 2022 date. Furthermore, it was supposed to be held in 2021, before being postponed a year, along with the 2020 (2021) edition. The awards was held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The nominees were announced in early 2022.
