She has recorded songs for films and albums in various Indian and foreign languages and received numerous accolades, including five National Film Awards, four Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, two BFJA Awards, seven Filmfare Awards and ten Filmfare Awards South. Often referred as the "Queen of Dynamics'' for her remarkable vocal expressions, Ghoshal is widely regarded as one of the greatest vocalists of the Indian subcontinent.

The Screen Awards was an annual awards ceremony held in India, honouring professional excellence in Bollywood. The nomination and award selection was done by a panel of distinguished professionals from the industry. The awards were introduced by Screen magazine of the Indian Express Group in 1995. "Panchi Nadiya Pawan Ke" is a 2000 Hindi song from the film Refugee. The song is composed by Anu Malik with lyrics by Javed Akhtar. It was sung by Sonu Nigam and Alka Yagnik and picturised on Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor.

The 10th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best music professionals of Hindi language Indian films of 2017. The ceremony was held on 28 January 2018 at the Dome @ National Sports Club of India, Mumbai and was hosted by Sonu Nigam. There were many performances, including those by Shreya Ghoshal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur and Neha Bhasin. A musical tribute was given to A. R. Rahman for completing his 25 years in the Indian cinema. Jab Harry Met Sejal won a leading five awards including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for "Hawayein". The show was broadcast on 18 March 2018 on Zee TV.
