The 24th National Geographic Bee was held in Washington, D.C., on May 24, 2012, sponsored by the National Geographic Society.

Fourteen-year-old Rahul Nagvekar, from Sugar Land, Texas, won the competition, beating out 52 other competitors representing the 50 U.S. states, Pacific territories, and Department of Defense dependent schools. [1] [2] [3]

Rahul Sharad Dravid is an Indian cricket coach and former captain of the Indian national team, currently serving as its head coach. Known for his outstanding batting technique, Dravid scored 24,177 runs in international cricket and is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He is colloquially known as Mr. Dependable and often referred to as The Wall. He helped the Indian national cricket team become the winner of the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy.

Punjab Kings (PBKS), formerly Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), is a professional franchise cricket team based in Mullanpur, Mohali, Punjab, that plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees were a minor league professional ice hockey team that played in the Central Hockey League. The team was based in the Rio Grande Valley in Hidalgo, Texas, just south of McAllen, and played their home games at State Farm Arena.

The 21st National Geographic Bee was held in Washington, D.C., on May 20, 2009, sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The winner was Eric Yang of Griffin Middle School in The Colony, Texas, who won a $25,000 college scholarship, lifetime membership in the National Geographic Society and a trip to the Galápagos Islands with National Geographic Bee moderator and Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek. The 2nd-place winner was Arjun Kandaswamy of Meadow Park Middle School in Beaverton, Oregon. The 3rd-place winner was Shantan Krovvidi of Ligon Middle School in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Rahul Kannoly Praveen, is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a winger or forward for Indian Super League club Kerala Blastsers and the India national team.

The 31st annual National Geographic Bee was held in Washington, D.C., and hosted by Mo Rocca. It is sponsored by the National Geographic Society. The State Bees were held on March 29, where the 54 finalists were determined. The 2019 Champion, Nihar Janga, received a $25,000 college scholarship, a lifetime membership to the National Geographic Society, and an all-expenses-paid Lindblad Expedition for two to the Galápagos Islands. This was to be the last GeoBee, as National Geographic made the decision to end the competition, after canceling the 2020 and 2021 National Geographic Bees due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 93rd Scripps National Spelling Bee was held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Bay Lake, Florida. The finals were held on July 8, 2021, and televised on ESPN2 and ESPN. It was won by Zaila Avant-garde, the first African American to win the Scripps National Spelling Bee, and the second black person to do so.

Rahul Srivatshav Peddi is an Indian grandmaster (GM) of chess, as recognized by FIDE. He was born on December 29, 2002, in Guntur. In 2018, he earned his international master (IM) title and went on to earn the grandmaster title in 2022, becoming India's 74th grandmaster of chess.
