The 52nd Saturn Awards will be presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films to honor the best in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other genres belonging to genre fiction in film, television, and home entertainment. [1] The eligibility period for nominations extended from October 2023 to October 31, 2024. [2]

The ceremony will be held on February 2, 2025, at Hilton Universal City in Los Angeles, and will be live-streamed for the third consecutive year on Electric Entertainment's OTT app and FAST channel ElectricNow, and will be broadcast for the very first time on video streaming service The Roku Channel. [1] Joel McHale will host the event for the third year in a row. [3] Additionally, the 2025 ceremony will be dedicated to and held in memory of late film producer Jon Landau (1960–2024), long-time collaborator of multiple Saturn Award-winning filmmaker James Cameron. The nominations were announced on December 5, 2024. [1] [6] [7] [8] The epic science fiction film Dune: Part Two (adapted from Frank Herbert's 1965 novel Dune and a continuation of the 2021 film Dune ) led the film nominations with fourteen — nine more than what the first part received in 2022 — including Best Science Fiction Film and five acting nominations, followed by Beetlejuice Beetlejuice with thirteen and Deadpool & Wolverine with ten. [1] [6] [7] [8] For the television categories, Prime Video series Fallout (adapted from the role-playing video game franchise of the same name) and the AMC miniseries The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (the sixth spin-off and overall seventh television series in The Walking Dead franchise) led the nominations with five each. James Cameron is a Canadian director, screenwriter, and producer who has had an extensive career in film and television. Cameron's debut was the 1978 science fiction short Xenogenesis, which he directed, wrote and produced. In his early career, he did various technical jobs such as special visual effects producer, set dresser assistant, matte artist, and photographer. His feature directorial debut was the 1982 release Piranha II: The Spawning. The next film he directed was the science fiction action thriller The Terminator (1984) which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as the titular cyborg assassin, and was Cameron's breakthrough feature. <i>Dune: Part Two</i> 2024 film by Denis Villeneuve

Dune: Part Two is a 2024 American epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jon Spaihts. The sequel to Dune (2021), it is the second of a two-part adaptation of the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert. It follows Paul Atreides as he unites with the Fremen people of the desert planet Arrakis to wage war against House Harkonnen. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Charlotte Rampling, and Javier Bardem reprise their roles from the first film, with Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken and Léa Seydoux joining the cast.

Wade Winston Wilson, also known as Deadpool, is a character portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in 20th Century Fox's X-Men film series and later the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) media franchise produced by Marvel Studios. The nominations were announced on August 12, 2022. Actor and comedian Joel McHale hosted the event.

The 51st Saturn Awards were presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films to honor the best in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and other genres belonging to genre fiction in film, television, and home entertainment.

The 17th Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards, presented by L'Oréal Groupe and Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty, will honor outstanding achievements for both make-up and hair stylists in motion pictures, television, commercials and live theater for 2024 on February 15, 2024, at Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles.
