Aarhus South nominating district is one of the 92 nominating districts that exists for Danish elections following the 2007 municipal reform. [3] [4] [5] It is one of the four nomination districts in Aarhus Municipality, the others being Aarhus West, Aarhus North and Aarhus East. [6] It was established as a constituency in 1895 as Aarhus County 3, became Aarhus County 4 in 1915, and became a nomination district in 1920. It obtained its current boundaries and name in 1970.

Contents

In general elections, the district is a strong area for parties commonly associated with the red bloc, and the Social Democrats has always won the most votes. [7]
