Myrmarachne Genus of spiders

Myrmarachne is a genus of ant-mimicking jumping spiders that was first described by W. S. MacLeay in 1839. They are commonly called antmimicking spiders, but they are not the only spiders that have this attribute. The name is a combination of Ancient Greek μύρμηξ (myrmex), meaning "ant", and ἀράχνη (arachne), meaning "spider".

Spiny orb-weaver

Gasteracantha is a genus of orb-weaver spiders first named by Carl Jakob Sundevall in 1833. The females of most species are brightly colored with six prominent spines on their broad, hardened, shell-like abdomens. The name Gasteracantha is derived from the Greek gaster (γαστήρ), meaning "belly, abdomen", and akantha (άκανθα), meaning "thorn, spine". Spiny-backed orb-weavers are sometimes colloquially called "crab spiders" because of their shape, but they are not closely related to the true crab spiders. Other colloquial names for certain species include thorn spider, star spider, kite spider, or jewel spider.

Tetrablemmidae Family of spiders

Tetrablemmidae, sometimes called armored spiders, is a family of tropical araneomorph spiders first described by Octavius Pickard-Cambridge in 1873. It contains 126 described species in 29 genera from southeast Asia, with a few that occur in Africa and Central and South America. Pacullidae was incorporated into this family in 1981, but was later restored as a separate family in a 2016 phylogenetic study.

Heteropoda

Heteropoda is a genus of spiders in the family Sparassidae, the huntsman spiders. They are mainly distributed in tropical Asia and Australia, while at least one species, H. venatoria, has a cosmopolitan distribution, and H. variegata occurs in the Mediterranean.

Pacullidae is a family of araneomorph spiders first described by Eugène Simon in 1894. It was merged into Tetrablemmidae in 1958, then raised back to family status after a large phylogenetic study in 2017.

Tetrablemma

Tetrablemma is a widespread genus of armored spiders first described by Octavius Pickard-Cambridge in 1873. It only has four eyes; an unusual trait for spiders, found only here and in some species of Caponiidae, though the two are not closely related. The eyes are large, but unequal in size, closely grouped around the center of the prosoma that rises in a somewhat of a cone shape from the abdomen. They have four closely positioned spinnerets enclosed in a corneous casing.

Pritha Genus of spiders

Pritha is a genus of crevice weavers that was first described by Pekka T. Lehtinen in 1967.

Stylocellidae

The Stylocellidae are a family of harvestmen with about 30 described species, all of which occur from India to New Guinea. Members of this family are from one to seven millimeters long. While Stylocellus species have eyes, these are absent in the other two genera.

Podoctidae

Podoctidae is a family of the harvestman infraorder Grassatores with about 130 described species.

Speocera is a genus of six eyed spiders in the family Ochyroceratidae, containing fifty one species.

Brignoliella Genus of spiders

Brignoliella is a genus of araneomorph spiders in the family Tetrablemmidae that was first described by W. A. Shear in 1978.

Pahanga is a genus of Asian araneomorph spiders in the family Tetrablemmidae that was first described by W. A. Shear in 1979.

Pseudanapis is a genus of araneomorph spiders in the family Anapidae, first described by Eugène Simon in 1905. It is a senior synonym of "Gossiblemma" and "Amrishoonops".

Lamania is a genus of Southeast Asian araneomorph spiders in the family Pacullidae that was first described by Pekka T. Lehtinen in 1981. Originally placed with the armored spiders, it was moved to the Pacullidae in 2017.

Paculla is a genus of araneomorph spiders in the family Pacullidae that was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1887. Originally placed with the Tetrablemmidae, it was transferred to the Pacullidae after a 2017 genetic study.

Rhinoblemma is a monotypic genus of araneomorph spiders in the family Tetrablemmidae found on Caroline Island. It contains the single species, Rhinoblemma unicorne, first described in 1963 by Carl Friedrich Roewer under the name Tetrablemma unicornis. In 1981, Pekka T. Lehtinen transferred it to Rhinoblemma.

Singaporemma is a genus of Asian araneomorph spiders in the family Tetrablemmidae that was first described by W. A. Shear in 1978.
