Acanthorrhinum is a monotypic genus in the family Plantaginaceae that contains only the species Acanthorrhinum ramosissimum. It is found in Spain and North Africa. [1] [2]

It was launched in March 2017 with the ultimate aim being "to enable users to access information on all the world's known seed-bearing plants by 2020". The initial focus was on tropical African Floras, particularly Flora Zambesiaca, Flora of West Tropical Africa and Flora of Tropical East Africa.
