The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle is a centre to centre-left secular-nationalist political party in Indonesia. Since 2014, it has been the ruling and largest party in the House of Representatives (DPR), having won 110 seats in the latest election. The party is led by Megawati Sukarnoputri, who served as the president of Indonesia from 2001 to 2004.
The Concern for the Nation Functional Party is a right-wing reactionary political party in Indonesia. The party was established by former members of the Golkar Party who were dissatisfied with Golkar's abandonment of former president Suharto including former minister Hartono and Suharto's daughter Siti Hardiyanti Rukmana. Suharto himself approved the party name.
Legislative elections were held in Indonesia on 9 April 2009 for 132 seats of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) and 560 seats of the People's Representative Council (DPR). A total of 38 parties met the requirements to be allowed to participate in the national elections, with a further six regional parties contesting in Aceh only. The Democratic Party of incumbent President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono won the largest share of the vote, followed by Golkar and the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
The People's Conscience Party, better known by its abbreviation, Hanura, is a political party in Indonesia. It was established following a meeting in Jakarta on 13–14 December 2006 and first headed by former Indonesian National Armed Forces commander Wiranto. The party lost its seats in the People's Representative Council after a poor performance in the 2019 general election.

The Democratic Renewal Party was a political party in Indonesia. It was established in 2005 by former members of the Indonesian Democratic Party – Struggle (PDI-P) who were once close aides of party leader Megawati Sukarnoputri. Following the 2005 PDI-P congress, differences appeared over the nature of democratic methods within the party. A group of people, including Petrus Selestinus, took the view that although the PDI-P was a modern political party, it still used the old authoritarian methods such as giving absolute prerogative rights to the party chairman and having only one candidate for senior positions. This group then established the Democratic Renewal Party. Unlike the PDI-P, it had a system of collective leadership, with 35 people forming the national leadership.
The Indonesian Workers and Employers Party is a political party in Indonesia. The party aims to integrate the struggle of Indonesian employers and workers. It contested the 2009 elections, but won only 0.7 percent of the vote, less than the 2.5 percent electoral threshold, meaning it was awarded no seats in the People's Representative Council.
The National People's Concern Party was a political party in Indonesia, headed by Amelia Achmad Yani, daughter of General Ahmad Yani. It contested the 2009 elections, but won only 1.2 percent of the vote, less than the 2.5 percent electoral threshold, so gained no seats in the People's Representative Council. The party intended to contest the 2014 elections, but failed to fulfil the ctteria set by the General Elections Commission, and along with nine other parties who also failed to qualify, decided to merge into the People's Conscience Party (Hanura).

The New Indonesia National Sovereignty Party is a political party in Indonesia. It was established as the New Indonesia Alliance Party by the economist Dr. Sjahrir and was initially made up of university students, middle-class people and the leaders of several political parties. In a speech on 23 September 2002, Sjahrir said he wanted to establish the party because he was frustrated and angry with the political situation dominated by corruption and the craving for power.

The Prosperous and Safe Aceh Party is a regional political party in Indonesia. It contested the 2009 elections in the province of Aceh. The party is led by singer and poet, and former legislature member Ghazali Abbas, a former United Development Party member of the People's Representative Council. The party's electoral target in 2009 was eight seats, one from each voting district in Aceh. However, the party garnered only 11,117 votes, 0.52 percent of the total turnout in Aceh. It failed to gain any seats in the local legislature and did not qualify to contest the 2014 elections.
The Aceh Abode Party, formerly the Aceh Sovereignty Party and Aceh Peace Party, is a regional political party in Indonesia originally established to accommodate religious figures not associated with the Free Aceh Movement (GAM). It contested the 2009 elections in the province of Aceh under its original name. Its electoral target was 20% or 3 million votes, but it only won 39,706 votes. Under the current party name, it took part in the 2014 elections, and garnered 72,721 votes, a 3% share of the Aceh vote. This was enough for it to be awarded one seat in the 81-member Aceh People's Representative Council.

For eligible voters residing outside Indonesia, elections were held on 5 or 6 April 2014 based on the decision of the electoral commission of each different countries. The Nanggroe Aceh Party or Aceh State Party is a regional political party in Indonesia. It was established as National Aceh Party, as a result of a split within the Aceh Party triggered by disagreements over the candidate for governor in the 2012 Aceh gubernatorial election. It was founded by Irwandi Yusuf, who was Aceh's governor between 2007 and 2012. The party qualified to contest the 2014 elections in Aceh, and won 4.7 percent of the vote, winning three seats in the provincial legislature.
The SIRA Party, abbreviation of Independent Solidity of the Acehnese Party, is a regional political party in Indonesia active in Aceh province. The party was founded in December 2007 by then-Deputy Governor Muhammad Nazar.
