Peace and Safe Islamic Party (Indonesian: Partai Islam Damai Aman), abbreviated as Idaman (Indonesian for "desired"), was an Islamist political party in Indonesia. The party was founded by Muslim dangdut artist Rhoma Irama that served as the only party chairman.
The party was declared on 14 October 2015 in a large-scale concert, with Rhoma himself announced the party principles by singing some of his songs. [1] The party espoused moderate Islamic politics and aimed to dispel Islamophobia by projecting Islam as a peaceful and safe religion.
Idaman Party attempt to participate in 2019 Indonesian general election was failed after its registration was declined by the General Elections Commission (KPU) and its initial attempt to appeal to the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) was defeated. [2] The party attempted their second appeal to the State Administrative Court, and was defeated as well. [3]
After Idaman Party exhausted all possible appeal methods and failed to overturn the rejection, Rhoma declared the party merged into the National Mandate Party (PAN) on 12 May 2018. The merge was dubbed as a "coalition agreement" with PAN and Rhoma remained Idaman Party chairman, despite no further arrangement known on the continuity of the Idaman Party institution. [4]

The Berkarya Party is an Indonesian political party formed in 2016. The party was formed to channel the political aspirations of former president Suharto's youngest son, Hutomo Mandala Putra, better known as Tommy Suharto. Tommy, a convicted murderer by proxy, lost the general chairmanship of the party in July 2020 after the government recognized the leadership of a breakaway faction headed by former general Muchdi Purwopranjono. Berkarya came 11th out of 16 political parties that contested Indonesia's 2019 general election, receiving 2.09% of votes cast. The party supported Tommy's former brother-in-law Prabowo Subianto's unsuccessful bid for the presidency in 2019. After failing to win a 4% threshold necessary to gain seats in the national parliament, the party in 2020 split into rival factions: one led by Tommy and the government-recognized faction led by Muchdi.
The Change Indonesia Guardian Party, better known as the Garuda Party, is a political party in Indonesia that contested the 2019 general election. The party has been linked to the family of former president Suharto. Officials have denied the party is linked to the Suharto family or to former general Prabowo Subianto's Gerindra Party. The Indonesian Muslims' Party, better known by the syllabic abbreviation Parmusi, was an Islamic political party in Indonesia which existed from 1968 until 1973. Throughout March 2023, the Central Jakarta District Court and the General Election Supervisory Agency made separate rulings in favour of the Just and Prosperous People's Party following the party's lawsuits against the General Elections Commission (KPU). The lawsuits were brought forth after PRIMA failed to qualify to participate in the 2024 Indonesian general election. One of the demands in PRIMA's court petitions was the postponement of the election, which was granted by the District Court.
