Adeva! is the debut album by American singer Adeva, released in 1989. The album features the singles "Respect" (UK No. 17 [2] ), "Musical Freedom (Free At Last)" (UK No. 22 [2] ), "Warning!" (UK No. 17 [2] ), "I Thank You" (UK No. 17 [2] ), "Beautiful Love" (UK No. 57 [2] ) and "Treat Me Right" (UK No. 62 [2] ). The album was particularly successful in the United Kingdom, where it reached No. 6 in the UK Albums Chart [2] and was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry for UK sales exceeding 300,000 copies. In a retrospective review for AllMusic, Alex Henderson praised "big-voiced" Adeva's "aggressive, gospel-influenced belting", calling it "a throwback to the days of Gloria Gaynor, Grace Jones, Linda Clifford, and Loleatta Holloway. [4]

Bette of Roses is the eighth studio album by the American singer Bette Midler. It was released by Atlantic Records on July 18, 1995, in the United States. The title was a play on the title of one of the tracks, "Bed of Roses". It became Midler's final album for the label, twenty-three years after the release of her debut album The Divine Miss M, since she was transferred to Atlantic's sister label Warner Bros. Records for her next two albums, then left the Warner group completely in 2002 when she signed with the Sony-owned Columbia Records.
