AfroBasket 2017 qualification occurred on various dates on 2017. It determined which African national basketball teams qualified for the 2017 FIBA Africa Championship. Teams competed with other teams in their respective "zones" for a spot in the Championship tournament. [1] [2]

Qualified Teams

Two teams qualified for the tournament before the qualification round will take place. Fourteen more teams claimed spots in the tournament through Zonal Qualifying.

The winner of each group will secure automatic qualification for Africa's flagship competition taking place in Brazzaville, while the teams that finish second in Groups G and H will face each other for the remaining qualification spot.

Chad, the Central African Republic and Zimbabwe faced off in Bamako, Mali from 19 to 21 May, with the winner of this additional qualifier filling the void left by the Republic of Congo. [4]

FIBA AfroBasket 2021 was the 30th edition of the FIBA AfroBasket, a men's basketball continental championship of Africa. The tournament was hosted by Rwanda for the first time. It was originally scheduled to take place between 17 and 29 August 2021, but it was moved back a week due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to 24 August to 5 September 2021.

The 2020 BAL Qualifying Tournaments were the inaugural qualifying tournaments of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), the newly launched premier basketball league of Africa jointly organized by the NBA and FIBA. While the NBA will co-organise from the regular season, the qualifiers are completely organised by FIBA Africa.

The AfroBasket 2021 qualification was a basketball competition that was played from January 2020 to July 2021, to determine the fifteen FIBA Africa nations who would join the automatically qualified host Rwanda at the AfroBasket 2021 final tournament.

The 2021 Women's Afrobasket qualification occurred on various dates on 2021 to determine which African national basketball teams would qualify for the 2021 Women's Afrobasket. Teams compete with other teams in their respective "zones" for a spot in the championship tournament.

The 2023 Women's Afrobasket qualification was played on various dates in 2023 to determine the seven teams who qualified for the 2023 Women's Afrobasket. Teams competed with other teams in their respective "zones" for a spot in the championship tournament. There were seven zones in total.

The 2023 FIBA AfroCan qualification are the qualifying games for the 2023 FIBA AfroCan, the second edition of the AfroCan. The qualifiers started in February and will finish in June 2023. Four teams are pre-qualified, while eight teams can qualify through the tournament.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2023 FIBA AfroCan</span> African mens basketball competition

The 2023 FIBA AfroCan was the 2nd edition of the FIBA AfroCan. The tournament was held from 8 July to 16 July 2023 and was hosted in Angola. DR Congo are the defending champions, having won the 2019 title. The second tournament was supposed to be held in 2021, but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification process will determine 31 of the 32 teams that will qualify for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup. As hosts, Qatar will receive automatic qualification for the tournament.

The AfroBasket 2025 qualification will be a basketball competition that will be played from February to November 2024, to determine the 16 nations who will qualify for the FIBA AfroBasket 2025.
