The Albanian Basketball First Division is the men's second tier basketball league in Albania. It is the lower division of the Albanian Basketball League which is organised by the Albanian Basketball Association. [1] [2]

The Kosovo Basketball Superleague and known as the ArtMotion Superliga due to sponsorship reasons is the top men's professional basketball league in Kosovo. Basketball Superleague was founded in 1991. It is run by the Basketball Federation of Kosovo.

The Basketball Federation of Kosovo is the governing body of basketball in Kosovo. It organizes the Kosovo Basketball Superleague and the Kosovo Basketball Cup. It has also fielded a team which has represented Kosovo in international friendlies.

Ermal Kuqo Albanian NBA Executive

Ermal Kuqo is a is a retired Albanian-Turkish professional basketball player who played the majority of his career for Efes Pilsen. He is also a basketball executive for the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA working as Director of International Pro Player Personnel. He is widely accepted as the greatest Albanian basketball player of all times. Kuqo was a part of the Turkish national team from 2004 until 2010, but in the summer of 2010 got granted the wish to play for his birth country Albanian national team.

Albanian Basketball Association

The Albanian Basketball Association is the governing body of basketball in Albania. The association is based in Tirana, Albania. It organises the national basketball leagues of the Albanian Superliga, the First Division, the Albanian Cup and Supercup. Albania women's national basketball team, Albanian women's basketball league, Albanian Women's Cup and the Albanian Women's Supercup are also overseen. The association also coordinates the activities of the Albania national basketball team and the Albania national youth basketball teams such as, Under-20, Under-18 and Under-16.

The Albanian Basketball League is the men's professional basketball league in Albania. It was founded in 1946 shortly after the formation of the Albanian Basketball Association and is now divided into two divisions, the Superliga and First Division, consisting of 12 teams each. The team with the most championships is BC Partizani Tirana who have won 33 championships in total, but none since 1996.

KB Tirana are an Albanian professional basketball team based in Tiranë, which is the basketball branch of SK Tirana. They compete in the Albanian Basketball League, Liga Unike and the Balkan International Basketball League. The club plays its home domestic games at the Farie Hoti Sports Palace, and they play their international games at the Asllan Rusi Sports Palace. Tirana are one of the two most successful teams in the history of Albanian basketball (men), having won the Albanian League 20 times, the Albanian Cup 19 times and the Albanian Supercups 8 times. They have won a total of 47 trophies, and only BC Partizani Tirana have won more in Albania with 48.

The Albanian Basketball League for women is a league competition featuring professional basketball clubs from Albania. It was founded in 1946 from the Albanian Basketball Association, several days after the latter was formed. It is the top level basketball league in Albanian from its foundation. The team with the most championships is BC Tirana with 41 championships.

KB Vllaznia

KB Vllaznia is a professional basketball team based in Shkodër, Albania. The club is one of the major basketball teams in Albania, having won 9 leagues, 12 cups and one supercup. The club, founded in 1919, is the oldest in the country.

The Liga Unike is a professional basketball league in Albania and Kosovo. The first inaugural season will start on 6 April 2021, and the league was praised from Turgay Demirel, president of FIBA Europe, who was present at the inauguration.

The 2021–22 Liga Unike was the second season of the Liga Unike, a professional basketball league in Albania and Kosovo. The season began on 23 October 2021 and will end in 2022.
