Brooke Gabrielle Ligertwood, professionally known as Brooke Fraser, is a New Zealand singer and songwriter. After signing with Sony BMG in 2002, she gained recognition for her debut album, What to Do with Daylight (2003) and followed with Albertine (2006) and Flags (2010). All three debuted at number one on the RMNZ chart and gained her the number one single "Something in the Water". She later released Brutal Romantic (2014), various compilation albums, the live album Seven (2022) and Eight (2023). The latter two were released by Capitol CMG under her married name, Brooke Ligertwood.

This is the only album on which lead singer Brad Arnold played drums. Here I Stand is the fifth studio album by the American singer Usher, released on May 13, 2008, by LaFace Records. Inspired by love for his then-wife—Tameka Foster—and son, Usher recorded many ballads for the album. Prior to the album's recording, Usher split with his mother, Jonnetta Patton, as manager and hired Benny Medina. Usher's estranged father died months before the release of Here I Stand; this also influenced themes of the album. It was originally to be titled Measure of a Man, but the singer named it Here I Stand to mark "a new chapter in life".

Fraser grew up musically active and signed to Sony BMG in 2002. In 2003, she released her debut single, "Better", which peaked at number three on the New Zealand Singles Chart. Her debut album, What to Do with Daylight (2003), was released the same year, debuting at number on the New Zealand Albums Chart and was eventually certified seven-times Platinum by the Recorded Music NZ (RMNZ). The album also spawned the singles "Lifeline", "Saving the World", "Arithmetic" and "Without You"; all of which reached the top 20 of the NZ Singles Chart.

Brutal Romantic is the fourth studio album by New Zealand singer-songwriter Brooke Fraser. It was released on 18 November 2014 in Australia, New Zealand, North America and Asia, and in Spring 2015 in Europe. It was produced by Fraser and David Kosten. It was recorded at Kosten's West London studio, and the orchestral parts were recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
