Aliquandostipite is a genus of fungi in the family Aliquandostipitaceae. [1] Species in the genus are saprobic, and grow on decaying wood in aquatic or moist environments. The type genus of the Aliquandostipitaceae, Aliquandostipite was first described by Patrik Inderbitzin and colleagues in 2001. [2]

Semidelitschia is a genus of coprophilous fungi in the family Delitschiaceae that contains three species. Semidelitschia was circumscribed in 1969 by mycologists Roy Cain and Robena Luck-Allen to contain the type species, S. agasmatica, found in North America. S. tetraspora and S. nanostellata were added to the genus in 1979 and 2001, respectively. The genus is characterized by species with one-celled, dark ascospores, which distinguishes it from the related genus Delitschia, which have two-celled ascospores.
The Aliquandostipitaceae are a family of fungi in the Ascomycota, class Dothideomycetes. The family was described by Patrik Inderbitzin in 2001, and the order Jahnulales was created in 2002 to accommodate the family. The distinguishing characteristic for members of the family are the unusually wide hyphae that support the spore-bearing structures, and the presence of ascomata both with and without stalks. The genus Aliquandostipe has a pantropical distribution, having been found in Central America and southeast Asia; Jahnula has a wider distribution. Species in the family are saprobic, and are typically found growing on rotting wood.
Toronia is a genus of tree in the family Proteaceae that contains a single species, Toronia toru, which is endemic to New Zealand. The genus is closely related to the large genus Persoonia, and in fact this species was long regarded as one until placed in its own new genus by Lawrie Johnson and Barbara G. Briggs in their 1975 monograph "On the Proteaceae: the evolution and classification of a southern family".

Many members of the family contain potent alkaloids, and some are highly toxic, but many—including tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, bell and chili peppers—are used as food. The family belongs to the order Solanales, in the asterid group and class Magnoliopsida (dicotyledons). The Solanaceae consists of about 98 genera and some 2,700 species, with a great diversity of habitats, morphology and ecology.
