Andrew Brian Goode (born 30 January 1960) is an English retired badminton player.

Badminton career

Goode represented England and won a gold medal in the team event and two silver medals in the men's and mixed doubles, at the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, Scotland. [1]

In 1990, Goode who won the men's and mixed doubles title at the National Championships, had been left out of the England team for the European Championships in Moscow. [2] He later won two more medals in the team event and mixed doubles at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland, New Zealand. [3]

He also competed for Great Britain in the 1992 Summer Olympics. [4] Goode won nine titles at the English National Badminton Championships (1 singles, 5 men's doubles and 3 mixed doubles).

Personal life

He married Joanne Wright, an English badminton player who was five times National doubles champion. [5] They have three children named Jack, Molly, and Harry. [6] [7]

Donna Victoria Kellogg, is an English former badminton player. She is the European Champion, winning the women's doubles titles in 2000, 2006 and the mixed doubles title in 2008. She won the silver medal at the 2006 World Championships. She was part of the national mixed team that won the gold medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, also captured the silver medals in the mixed and women's doubles events. Along with those sporting achievements she is only the second person to hold all five titles in all three disciplines of badminton at the English National Championships. Marcus Ellis is a British badminton player. He was the men's doubles champion in the English National Championships. Ellis and Chris Langridge won a bronze medal in the men's doubles at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, also gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. At the 2019 Minsk European Games, Ellis captured two gold medals; in the men's doubles with Langridge and in the mixed doubles event with Lauren Smith.

Julian Anthony Robertson is a former English badminton player. He competed for Great Britain at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. He also won the men's doubles bronze at the 1998 European Championships, and helped the team win the silver medal. He has also been involved in another 6 European championship medal winning teams. The former world No. 8 has been working as a Great Britain coach since 2004 and is one of the most decorated home grown coaches England has ever produced achieving Olympic World Commonwealth and European success with his athletes. He is based in Milton Keynes.
