Jens Peter Nierhoff (born 2 September 1960) is a retired badminton player of Denmark, noted for his powerful smash, who won a number of international titles in singles and men's doubles during the 1980s.
Nierhoff won men's singles at the 1982 European Championships, and men's doubles at the 1988 European Championships with Michael Kjeldsen.. He competed at the 1983 IBF World Championships in men's singles and lost to Han Jian in quarterfinals. Two years later he won the bronze medal at the 1985 IBF World Championships, losing to Han Jian again, this time in semifinals. Niehoff's accomplishments included singles victories at the Dutch (1984, 1988), Swedish (1984) Canadian (1985), and Scottish (1987) Opens; and doubles titles at the Swiss (1981), Dutch (1988), Canadian (1985, 1988), and Scottish (1987) Opens.

Morten Frost or Morten Frost Hansen is a former badminton player and later coach, who represented Denmark. As a player, he spent twelve years in the top three of the world rankings.
Han Jian is a Chinese retired badminton player in the early and mid 1980s when China first entered the International Badminton Federation.
Ricky Subagja is a former Indonesian badminton player. He was rated among the greatest doubles specialists in the sport's history.
Icuk Sugiarto is an Indonesian former badminton player.
Han Aiping was a Chinese badminton player in the 1980s who ranks among the greats of the woman's game. Noted for her superb overhead strokes, she and her teammate, rival, and sometimes doubles partner Li Lingwei dominated international singles play for most of the decade, each winning the IBF World Championships twice, and led Chinese teams to victory in Uber Cup competitions.
Thomas Kihlström is a former badminton player from Sweden known for his agility, tactical astuteness, and coolness under pressure. Though an impressive singles player early in his career, his greatest successes came in doubles. Kihlström is a fine doubles player with a superb technique and lovely touch. Partnering Stefan Karlsson, they have been one of the consistent pairs and making them as one of the great doubles pairs in the world in their era.
