The following is a comprehensive discography of Apocalyptica , a Finnish cello metal group. As a band, they have released nine studio albums, that have charted in their native Finland, Austria, France, and in the United States. In addition to their nine studio albums, also released are two compilation albums, one soundtrack, one live album and three DVD albums.

Contents

Apocalyptica have released 13 singles to date, including two number ones. The first single, "Bittersweet", reached No. 1 in Finland in 2004. Their single "I Don't Care" featuring Adam Gontier on lead vocals, reached No. 1 in 2008 on the US Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

Pain is a musical project from Sweden that mixes heavy metal with influences from electronic music and techno. The project started out as a hobby project for frontman Peter Tägtgren, whose idea was to fuse heavy metal with 1980s-inspired electro-industrial and techno influences. Tägtgren, who is also the vocalist/guitarist of Hypocrisy and producer of his own The Abyss studios, is the only current member.

"Bittersweet" is a single by the cello rock band Apocalyptica in collaboration with Ville Valo and Lauri Ylönen. The music is by Apocalyptica, the lyrics by Ville Valo and the vocals by Ville Valo and Lauri Ylönen. The song is written for four cellos (quartet) and voice, but there are versions for just the cello quartet. The lyrics are about a love triangle, in which a woman loves a man, who does not love her back, and another man who is in love with the woman, while she does not love him back.
