Highway 145 (AR 145, Ark. 145, and Hwy. 145) is designation for four state highways in Northeast Arkansas. The highways are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Two segments were created as state highways in the 1930s to provide system connectivity; with two others added and extended during the 1960s and 1970s during a period of state highway system expansion.
The ARDOT maintains Highway 115 like all other parts of the state highway system. As a part of these responsibilities, the Department tracks the volume of traffic using its roads in surveys using a metric called average annual daily traffic (AADT). ARDOT estimates the traffic level for a segment of roadway for any average day of the year in these surveys. As of 2018, the peak AADT on the highway was 4,600 vehicles per day (VPD) near the northern terminus in McCrory. All other segments were below 1,000 VPD, with most counts below 400 VPD. [4] For reference, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) classifies roads with fewer than 400 vehicles per day as a very low volume local road.
No segment of Highway 145 has been listed as part of the National Highway System, [3] a network of roads important to the nation's economy, defense, and mobility. [5]
Highway 145 begins at a skewed intersection with Highway 269 just west of US Highway 49 (US 49) in the eastern part of Woodruff County. The highway runs west as a section line road through a rural part of the county dominated by row agriculture. Highway 145 turns north before crossing a segment of Bayou DeView known as Reddon Lake, one of the major waterways in the region. The highway continues north through unincorporated communities Beards and Deview before entering the small city of McCrory. Highway 145 becomes Edmonds Avenue in McCrory, running north to an intersection with US Highway 64 Business (US 64B, Raney Avenue), and forming a brief concurrency to Poplar Avenue. [6] After the concurrency ends, Highway 145 crosses the Union Pacific Railway tracks and enters the McCrory Commercial Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. [7] North of downtown McCrory, Highway 145 passes through a residential area before an intersection with US 64, with the roadway continuing north as Highway 17 to Newport. [8]
Highway 145 begins in the northeast corner of Woodruff County at Highway 37. The highway runs due east as a section line road through a rural area, passing the unincorporated community of Duffy before turning north and entering Jackson County. [8] Now a north-south section line road, Highway 145 terminates at Highway 42 near McFadden. [9]
Highway 145 begins at Highway 37 north of the small town of Beedeville and runs west as a section line road. The highway crosses the Cache River, one of the Ramsar wetlands of international importance, [10] and briefly becomes the northern boundary of the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge before turning northeast and running through the unincorporated community of Blackville. Highway 145 continues due north, passing near Remmel before terminating at Highway 14 west of Amagon. [9]
Highway 145 begins at Highway 367 in Tuckerman as Estelle Street in a residential area. The highway turns due north, running as a section line road into rural Jackson County. The highway runs north to a dirt road intersection with Jackson County Road 85 (CR 85, Decker Store Road/Paw Paw Road) [11] near Centerville, where the route terminates near the Black River. [9]
The first segment of Highway 145 was created in 1931 between Highway 14 and Highway 37, [1] [2] with the segment between Highway 42 and Highway 37 created in 1935. [12] [13] On February 29, 1956, the Arkansas State Highway Commission (ASHC) designated a third segment of Highway 145 along a newly constructed road between US 64 at Fair Oaks and Penrose parallel to the St. Louis Southwestern Railway tracks. [14] The designation was extended to Highway 39 at Hillemann on October 5, 1960, [15] but this extension was renumbered to Highway 39 (present-day US 49) on December 2, 1964. [16]
A third segment was created from US 64 (present-day US 64B) in McCrory to 3 miles (4.8 km) south on November 23, 1966. [17] It was extended northward to the current northern terminus at Highway 17 when a new US 64 bypass was constructed around Patterson and McCrory on January 24, 1968. [18] The route was extended south to the current southern terminus at Highway 269 on April 25, 1973 pursuant to Act 9 of 1973 by the Arkansas General Assembly. [19] The act directed county judges and legislators to designate up to 12 miles (19 km) of county roads as state highways in each county. [20]
A fourth segment of Highway 145 beginning in Tuckerman was created on February 27, 1974. [21]

Highway 102 is an east–west state highway in Benton County, Arkansas. The highway connects two of western Benton County's population centers to Bentonville and Interstate 49 (I-49), the main north–south route in the Northwest Arkansas region.
Highway 156 is a designation for three east–west state highways in Washington County, Arkansas. The first segment was created in 1937, with two more created in 1973. All are minor state highways established to provide system connectivity and are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT).
Highway 87 is a designation for four north–south state highways in Arkansas. Created during the 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, the original alignment remains between Bradford and Pleasant Plains, though it has been revised and extended over the years. The three remaining segments are former county roads, connecting rural communities to local points of interest and other state highways. All three were added to the state highway system in 1973 during a period of system expansion. All segments are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT).
Highway 103 is a designation for two north–south state highways in Arkansas. One segment begins in Clarksville in the Arkansas River Valley and runs north to the Ozark National Forest. A second route runs through a sparsely populated segment of the Ozark Mountains between the Buffalo National River and Highway 21 near the Missouri state line.

Highway 77 is a north–south state highway in Northeast Arkansas. The route of 66.70 miles (107.34 km) runs from US Highway 70 (US 70) in West Memphis north through small towns and agricultural areas of the Arkansas Delta to Missouri Route 108 at the Missouri state line. It is generally a low-traffic road except in West Memphis. Created during the 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, the route was extended in the 1950s and 1960s, including along a former alignment of US 61. AR 77 does not have any spur or business routes.
Highway 28 is designation for three east–west state highways in Western Arkansas. Two segments together running from the Oklahoma state line to Ola have been established since the original 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, with the third segment designated in 1963. All three highways are rural, two-lane roads with relatively low traffic serving a sparsely populated and forested part of Arkansas. The highways are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 126 is a designation for two north–south state highways in Baxter County, Arkansas. A southern route of 11.66 miles (18.76 km) runs from Buffalo City north to US Route 62/US Route 412 (US 62/US 412) near Mountain Home. A second route of 7.03 miles (11.31 km) begins at US 62/US 412 in Gassville and runs north to Highway 5/Highway 178 at Midway.
Highway 263 is a north–south state highway in the Arkansas Ozark Mountains. A low-volume, two-lane road, Highway 263 connects several rural unincorporated communities to the state highway system. The highway was first established on July 10, 1957, in Stone County and extended by the Arkansas State Highway Commission in 1963 and 1965. A second segment was created in Cleburne County in 1963, and the gap was closed between the two segments in 1994. The route is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 115 is a state highway in Northeast Arkansas. The route begins at US Highway 167 and Highway 58 in Cave City and runs northeast to Missouri Route 21 near Doniphan, Missouri, including a 14 miles (23 km) concurrency with US 62/US 412 between Imboden and Pocahontas. The highway is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 141 is designation for two north–south state highways in Northeast Arkansas. The longer segment was created in 1931 and extended throughout the mid-20th century to the current alignment connecting Jonesboro and points north. The Jonesboro segment was a former city street added to the state highway system in 1973. Both are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation.
Highway 105 is a north–south state highway in Pope County, Arkansas. The route runs from Galla Creek Wildlife Management Area north across Interstate 40 (I-40) and U.S. Route 64 (US 64) to Highway 27 in Hector. AR 105 was created during the 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering. The route is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT).
Highway 330 is an east–west state highway in Van Buren County, Arkansas. The highway is a low traffic, two-lane highway connecting Highway 16 to Greers Ferry Lake at Fairfield Bay. Highway 330 is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Two former highway designations in the county in the 1960s were returned to local control in 1997 and 2013.
Highway 190 is a designation for four state highways in Arkansas. Three are low-traffic rural highways in Grant County, with one designation along city streets in Pine Bluff. The rural segments were created in 1965 and 1966, with the Pine Bluff section created in 2000 as a renumbering of Highway 104. All segments are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 75 is a north–south state highway in the Arkansas Delta. The route runs from Highway 38/Highway 50 north to AR 14/AR 140/AR 149 in Marked Tree. Created during the initial 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, Highway 75 has been shortened and extended over roughly the same alignment over its lifetime. The highway has one spur route, Highway 75 Spur in the small town of Parkin. Both highways are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT).
Highway 52 is a designation for three state highways in Southeast Arkansas. All segments are low volume, two-lane roadways in rural areas. The segment between Wilmot and Indian has been designated since the original 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, with new designations created in 1966 and 1985. All segments are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT).
Highway 267 is a designation for two state highways in White County. One route of 15.47 miles (24.90 km) begins at Highway 31 and runs northeast to Highway 367 in Searcy. A second route of 2.25 miles (3.62 km) begins at Highway 31 and runs east to Highway 13. Highway 267 Spur, a spur route of 0.90 miles (1.45 km) connects Highway 267 and Highway 31 north of Beebe. The highways are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 36 is a state highway in Central Arkansas. The highway begins at U.S. Highway 64 (US 64) at Hamlet and runs east through several small communities to Searcy, where it serves as the Beebe-Capps Expressway, a major crosstown arterial roadway. Following a discontinuity at US 64/US 67/US 167, the highway continues east to Kensett as Wilbur D. Mills Avenue before state maintenance ends at the small community of Georgetown. This highway is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 262 is an east–west state highways in Woodruff County, Arkansas. The route is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
Highway 42 is an east–west state highway of 53.69 miles (86.41 km) in Northeast Arkansas. The highways begins in the corn and cotton fields of the Mississippi Alluvial Plain at Highway 37, crosses the Crowley's Ridge and ends in the St. Francis Lowlands. The highway is a rural, two-lane road with relatively low traffic serving a sparsely populated agricultural area of Arkansas. Highway 42 is one of the original state highways created during the 1926 Arkansas state highway numbering, and has remained largely unchanged since bridge construction and an eastward extension in 1938. It is maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT).
