Arthur's Blues is a live album by saxophonist Art Pepper recorded in 1981 at the Maiden Voyage nightclub in Los Angeles and released on the Galaxy label in 1991. [1] [2] The album features tracks that were first released on The Complete Galaxy Recordings box set in 1989.

The AllMusic review by Stewart Mason noted "the quartet burns through a set of standards and originals that covers Pepper's full range of playing styles ... However, the highlight is the title track, Pepper's last great recording. A 15-minute groove that swings from soulful and funky blues to an intense climax, "Arthur's Blues" puts to rest the rumors that Art Pepper's chops had deserted him in his final years". [3]

Arthur Edward Pepper Jr. was an American jazz musician, most known as an alto saxophonist. He occasionally performed and recorded on tenor saxophone, clarinet and bass clarinet. Active primarily in West Coast jazz, Pepper first came to prominence in Stan Kenton's big band. He was known for his emotionally charged performances and several stylistic shifts throughout his career, and was described by critic Scott Yanow as having "attained his goal of becoming the world's greatest altoist" at the time of his death in 1982.
Art Pepper Meets the Rhythm Section is a 1957 jazz album by saxophonist Art Pepper with pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers and drummer Philly Joe Jones, who were the acclaimed rhythm section for Miles Davis at that time. The album is considered a milestone in Pepper's career.
Baby, Baby, Baby is an album by blues vocalist Jimmy Witherspoon which was recorded in 1963 and released on the Prestige label. The title track, "Baby Baby Baby" with music by Jerry Livingston and lyrics by Mack David, was written in 1950 but first sung by Teresa Brewer in the film Those Redheads from Seattle (1953), and then became title track of the album Baby, Baby, Baby by Mindy Carson.
