Douglas Watkins was an American jazz double bassist. He was best known for being an accompanist to various hard bop artists in the Detroit area, including Donald Byrd and Jackie McLean.
Art Pepper + Eleven – Modern Jazz Classics is a 1960 jazz album by saxophonist Art Pepper and a group of other musicians performing arrangements by Marty Paich who directed the ensemble. The recording is one of several dates Pepper made with Paich in 1959 and is the only one with Pepper as leader. The recording focuses on Paich's large group arrangements of modern jazz classics, including Denzil Best's "Move," Thelonious Monk's "'Round Midnight," Gerry Mulligan's "Walkin' Shoes". Other highlights of the recording are Pepper's clarinet performances on "Anthropology" and the alternate takes of "Walkin'."
The Early Show is a live album by jazz saxophonist Art Pepper. It was recorded on February 12, 1952 at the Surf Club in Hollywood, Los Angeles. Xanadu Records released the album in 1976.
The Dealers is a 1964 album by jazz musician Mal Waldron released on Status Records, catalogue 8316. The album consists of unreleased takes from two sessions that resulted in two prior albums. "Blue Calypso" and "Falling In Love With Love" are from the April 19, 1957 session that resulted in half of 1957 Waldron's Mal/2 album; these tracks can currently be found as additional tracks on the CD reissue of that album. "Dealin'" and "Wheelin" are from a September 20, 1957 session, and are alternate takes of tracks originally released on the 1958 Wheelin' & Dealin' album ; these tracks can currently be found as additional tracks on the CD reissue of that album. All tracks are also available as part of the 2009 John Coltrane's box set Side Steps.
Something Cool is a studio album recorded by June Christy in 1953, 1954, and 1955, and featuring Christy singing 11 jazz songs backed by the orchestra of Pete Rugolo, and her saxophonist husband, Bob Cooper. First issued in 1954 as a 10" mono LP, an expanded 12" mono LP was released the following year, with four newly recorded selections added to the track listing. In 1960, Christy and Rugolo re-recorded all 11 selections in stereo, so that a stereo version of Something Cool could be issued. For many years, this re-recorded version of the LP was the only one commercially available.

This Is How I Feel About Jazz is a 1957 album by Quincy Jones. Jones arranged and conducted three recording sessions during September 1956, each with a different line-up, from a nonet to a fifteen piece big band. Musicians on the album include Art Farmer, Phil Woods, Lucky Thompson, Hank Jones, Paul Chambers, Milt Jackson, Art Pepper, Zoot Sims, and Herbie Mann. The bonus tracks on the CD release include compositions by Jimmy Giuffre, Lennie Niehaus and Charlie Mariano.

The CD reissue included one bonus track recorded in 1963. The title track was sampled by Gang Starr & Dream Warriors in their 1991 collaboration "I've Lost My Ignorance".

The Song Is June! is a 1958 album by June Christy recorded with Pete Rugolo's Orchestra. It was reissued in 1997 as a double CD with Off-Beat.
Baritones and French Horns is a 16+2⁄3 rpm album released in August 1958 by Prestige Records. The album is one of a series of releases attributed to the Prestige All Stars. Each side of the album was a distinct date with distinct personnel. From a jazz.com review, Kenny Berger wrote, "Among the many innovative technological failures of the mid- and late- 1950s, the 16-rpm phonograph record stands as the industry's answer to the Edsel. One of Prestige's contributions to this auditory dustbin was an LP on steroids titled Baritones and French Horns under the supervision of vibist, composer, arranger, A&R man Teddy Charles. The baritone side of this album was reissued twice on LP and twice more on CD under John Coltrane's name [as Dakar], though Pepper Adams was the actual leader on these sessions." The "french horns" side of the album was reissued as Prestige ST 8305, Curtis Fuller and Hampton Hawes with French Horns.
