Churchill County is a county in the western U.S. state of Nevada. As of the 2020 census, the population was 25,516. Its county seat is Fallon. Named for Mexican–American War hero brevet Brigadier General Sylvester Churchill, the county was formed in 1861. Churchill County comprises the Fallon, NV Micropolitan Statistical Area. It is in northwestern Nevada. Churchill County is noteworthy in that it owns and operates the local telephone carrier, Churchill County Communications.
Annville is an unincorporated community, a census-designated place (CDP), and the largest community in Jackson County, KY. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,102. The community was established in 1878 and named for local resident Nancy Ann Johnson. The community offers a few services such as a post office, grocery store, gas station, medical clinic, nursing home, restaurants, and other locally owned businesses.
Denton is a town in Caroline County, Maryland, United States. The population of Denton was 4,418 as of the 2010 United States Census, and it is the county seat of Caroline County.
Black Mountain is the highest mountain peak in the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, with a summit elevation of 4,145 feet (1,263 m) above mean sea level and a top-to-bottom height of over 2,500 feet (760 m). The summit is located at approximately 36°54′51″N82°53′38″W in Harlan County, Kentucky near the Virginia border, just above the towns of Lynch, Kentucky and Appalachia, Virginia. It is alternatively known as Katahrin's Mountain, and is about 500 feet (150 m) taller than any other mountain in Kentucky.
Timms Hill or Timm's Hill is the highest natural point in the U.S. state of Wisconsin and is located in north-central Wisconsin in Timms Hill County Park in the Town of Hill in Price County. After being surveyed by Quentin Stevens of Ogema Telephone Co in 1962, Timms Hill was discovered to have an elevation of 1,951.5 ft (595 m). It is less than 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Highway 86, about midway between Ogema and Spirit and about 23 miles (37 km) west of Tomahawk.
Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is a state park in Pacific City, Oregon, United States. Cape Kiwanda is on the Three Capes Scenic Route, which includes Cape Meares and Cape Lookout. Hiking to the top of Cape Kiwanda allows views of Nestucca Bay to the south and Cape Lookout to the north.
Beacon Mountain, locally Mount Beacon, is the highest peak of Hudson Highlands, located south of City of Beacon, New York, in the Town of Fishkill. Its two summits rise above the Hudson River behind the city and can easily be seen from Newburgh across the river and many other places in the region. The more accessible northern peak, at 1,516 feet (462 m) above sea level, has a complex of radio antennas on its summit; the 1,595 feet (486 m) southern summit has a fire lookout tower, which was built in 1931.
Burning Springs is an unincorporated community in Clay County, Kentucky, United States. It is located along U.S. Route 421 by its junction with Kentucky Route 472. It has one school, Burning Springs Elementary. It is about 4 miles from Jackson County but about 7 miles from Manchester, the county seat.
Yosemite West is an unincorporated community of resort homes located just outside the southern area of Yosemite National Park, just off Wawona Road, a continuation of State Route 41 from Fresno. It is a census-designated place (CDP), with a population of 47 as of the 2020 census. It is situated one mile (1.6 km) south of the Chinquapin intersection of Wawona Road with Glacier Point Road, at an altitude of 5,100 to 6,300 feet. The elevation reported by the USGS is 5,866 feet (1,788 m). The community is part of Henness Ridge, nearly 3,000 feet (910 m) above the southern banks of the Merced River and State Route 140 from Mariposa. Addresses in this area are shown as "Yosemite National Park, CA 95389".
Stissing Mountain, with an elevation of 1,403 feet, lies in northern Dutchess County, New York, where it rises about 1,000 feet above its local footings. The mountain is steepest on its eastern slopes, which average 40 percent. This eastern escarpment is about 3 miles long. Around Stissing's eastern base are substantial amounts of talus blocks composed of gneiss. A restored, 1933 fire tower is near the summit and open to the public via hiking trails.
Gray Hawk is a small, unincorporated community in eastern Jackson County, KY. The community is located along US Route 421. Services in the community include a post office, gas station, and restaurant. Gray Hawk has a community park and two waterfalls: McCammon Branch Falls and Flat Lick Falls.
Plum Orchard is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, West Virginia, United States. Plum Orchard is located on County Highway 34/14, 9 miles (14 km) south-southeast of Ripley. Plum Orchard once had a post office, which is now closed.
Parrot is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, Kentucky, United States. Parrot is located at the junction of Kentucky Route 2002 and Kentucky Route 2003 4.85 miles (7.81 km) west of Annville. Parrot had a post office which opened on September 7, 1898, and closed on July 23, 1994. The community was named for a local family; it has also been called Letter Box, as before the post office opened residents used a letter box attached to a tree for mail service.
Fairview is a small census-designated place on the boundary between Christian and Todd counties in the western part of the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of the 2010 census, it had a population of 286, with 186 living in Christian County and 100 living in Todd County. It is chiefly notable as the birthplace of Jefferson Davis, later President of the Confederate States of America, and as the location of the Jefferson Davis State Historic Site.
Royrader is an unincorporated community in Jackson County, in the U.S. state of Kentucky. A post office called Royrader was established in 1927, and remained in operation until 1969. The community derives its name from Roy Rader, a businessperson in the local lumber industry. The community is along Kentucky Route 578 approximately 4 miles south of Annville, Kentucky, the county's largest community.

New Zion is an unincorporated community located in northeastern Jackson County, Kentucky, United States. The community is located on Kentucky Route 587, 6 miles northeast of McKee and 3 miles south of Arvel. In the community is New Zion Ridge.
Clover Bottom is an unincorporated community located in northern Jackson County, Kentucky, United States. The community is located along US 421 at its intersection with Kentucky Route 1955. It is 3.4 miles northwest of Sandgap and 9.3 miles southeast of Berea. The community is addressed to McKee's ZIP code 40447, despite being past Sandgap, which has its own post office with ZIP code 40481, which partially serves the area around Clover Bottom.
Dango is a ghost town located in southwestern Jackson County, Kentucky, United States. The town was located at the confluence of Racoon Creek and Horse Lick Creek, which flows into the Rockcastle River. It is located southwest of McKee by 8 miles, and 2.7 miles southeast of another ghost town, Loam. Near the confluence of the two creeks is the historical Carpenter School, which may be named after Carpenter Ridge, of which it is two miles south of. Heavy settlement and farming occurred in the area around Horse Lick Creek, where Dango was, until the early 1900s. The area where Dango was is currently occupied by the Daniel Boone National Forest, known as the Horse Lick Creek Biopreserve, with the majority of ownership being private.

It is located southwest of McKee by 7 miles, and 2.7 miles northwest of another ghost town, Dango. The town is located on Bethel Church Road according to the KYTC's State Primary Road System map for Jackson County. Heavy settlement and farming occurred in the area around Horse Lick Creek until the early 1900s. The area where Loam was is currently occupied by the Daniel Boone National Forest, in the Horse Lick Creek Biopreserve, with the majority of ownership being private.
